Rich, a man who has a beautiful family and works to save lives of others everyday is a great representative of Survivor. And played the best game. Not sure what your point is here.

He's mainly just upset that Jeff, as host and executive producer, holds up the straight, white guy as the "perfect representative" of Survivor after they pulled their offer to him to appear on season 40 after the incidents from season 39 occurred to play it safe and stating that Hatch "does not represent what Survivor is". I think Richard is way off base on his statements, because Tony is a great representative regardless of his skin color or sexual orientation. What Richard has been right about in other videos, is that the producers and executives control everything that happens in these shows. From allowing him to compete naked causing the Sue incident on All Stars, when they could have said nope, clothes or disqualified; to what happened last season. They are always there, they can stop or allow whatever they want, and edit and air it however they want...and that pisses Richard off. They continue to portray him in a manner he feels is unfair, then cast him aside, and he's acting out like a scorned lover to try and take them down any way he can.

This is an interesting take, but in the end, I think it's you, Richard, who is projecting race onto Jeff's comments. I have a lot of problems with Jeff, many of which you have pointed out on this very channel, but I think Jeff is just a sucker for families in any capacity. He's treated Cirie and her family with similar amounts of love and praise with which he treated Tony the other night; I think he would've treated Jeremy and his large family the exact same way had he turned out to be the second two-time winner. It's also worth noting that this particular finale allowed for each finalist to be surrounded by their families as the votes were being read; this hasn't happened in any of the first 39 seasons and made it a little easier for Jeff to make those comments about Tony's family, especially at the end of a season as big as this. Again, I think Probst would've reacted the same way had it been Jeremy or Sandra and their families. I think it's you who are projecting.

So, if there is anyone to pick apart it would be Sandra. But like Tony she does have a very good personality and is quite likeable. But what is it that makes someone as a "representative" of Survivor. I guess it's Jeff's approval of that like who he seems to favor like: Boston Rob, Sandra, Parveti. And any opinion you have that involves them is massively colored by that animosity. You need to behave in a more mature manner and accept responsibility. They were never going to cast you on season 40 due to the PR nightmare it would have been after the Dan incident due to your incident with Sue in season 8. Regardless of your defenses (and I have watched your past videos about it), regardless of whether you are in the right or not on what happened in season 8, CBS was never going to take on that PR nightmare. You are the only person who has failed to accept it. I am sure it hurts that you were not on the season, but you need to move on and get over it. When you're speaking in vague terms, it seems as if you've either a) fallen off the ideological deep end, or b) become very, very bitter. This series has a bevy of minority men and women who have been hailed as some of the great players of all-time. It seems as though you've not spoken to Probst in years, so I wonder how you can have any new information that supports your beliefs that Jeff has not changed. And even when it comes to the original belief that he's always been a racist, homophobic, sexist bigot, just go into the specifics. Don't mention names, just mention events. The problem now is that, as you continue to speak in vague terms, you lessen the impact and believe-ability of your eventual specific allegations, as you truly just seem bitter.

I think Hatch’s bitterness towards Jeff Probst and his bitterness towards not being included on season 40 is clouding his judgements. First off, I feel like Hatch is taking those comments made by Jeff Probst about Tony being a good representative winner the wrong way. As an African American myself, I didn’t take Probst’s comments as meaning that Tony is a good representative of the show solely because he’s white. I interpreted Probst’s comments as saying that Tony is a good representation of the show for reasons such as: someone who’s a family man, and someone who plays the game of Survivor like there’s no tomorrow(Probst respects). I’m almost certain that had Jeremy won the game, Probst would’ve been singing his praises as well. Another problem with Richard’s statements is the fact that he barely provides any examples when asserting his strong accusations upon Probst. Hatch is certainly never going to be invited to play US survivor again; I also feel like he’s ruining his chances for potential invitations to play International Survivor as well. Nobody wants to deal with the baggage that comes with Hatch as both a player and a person.

I think this video is about Probst’s “apologetic” reaction to Sarah’s pointing out gender bias (and more).
@cjtrules14 жыл бұрын
@We call on your blessings Not so funny thing is... PROBST HAS A GENDER BIAS! All these winners are well aware of what fans say about them and other players on social media and everything Sarah said is 100% true. Yes she played an inferior game to Tony, everyone did. I think Sarah was finally commenting about the backlash she got on how she won Game Changers. Natalie coming into camp after her win back challenge and saying everyone on EoE is saying how Tony is controlling the game woke Sarah up.
@davidg83094 жыл бұрын
Christopher Thomson If I may voice my opinion, the reason in my mind that Sarah got hate was because the winner of the season was not Cirie. Additionally, it was because Cirie was “voted out” in a pretty unfair way. Many fans wanted Cirie to win survivor at some point and she was incredibly close three times out of four. Typically I’ve noticed that if there is a big twist in a finale episode, (Such as Cirie’s default elimination in Game Changers, final four fire making twist in HvHvH, Chris returning from extinction and winning, etc.) it will often leave a bitter taste in the mouth of fans for seasons that were very good otherwise. I believe that this is why Sarah received hate. I do not believe that Jeff has bias towards Tony. In the scenario that there was, the fact that it was in an online call, and the fact that Tony was the only one of the three finalists that had kids present is the reason that Jeff commented on Tony’s family. Not because of any form of bias. If I missed the point you were trying to address, I’m sorry. But I tried to answer in a way that responds to how I perceived your statement.
@cjtrules14 жыл бұрын
@@davidg8309 Of course voice your opinion and I like what you said. The gender bias I am referring to is more about what Sarah was saying at tribal council, not about Probst during the reading of the votes crowning the winner. I agree that Probst made that comment because Tony is the only one out of the 3 that had their own family. I never thought that was favoritism towards Tony or white men. He was the winner of the season. Because of the nature of crowning the winner being over Zoom, Tony was able to have his family with him instead of in the stands. I also 100% agree with you about those finale episode twists that either eliminate a fan favorite, season leading favorite player or it brings a player back right at the end when that person ends up winning it. I love Cirie and it's a shame she never won any of her seasons. (I have many other favorites from that Game Changers cast) Cirie is one of the best to never win. I recently watched all the Survivor live Instagram videos when a previous player takes over Survivor's Instagram to talk about the episode as it airs. Cirie was one of the few chosen to do it. Obviously tells us how much CBS Survivor loves her.

I dont believe that Hatch was discrediting Tonys Win. Correct me if Im wrong Rich. He was just saying that Jeff is not truely a liberal in character and belief. CBS is trying to put forward an image of a white-picket fence, PG-13, and a silly cartoon character. No offense Tony.

Probst may make bad creative decisions from time to time, but complimenting somebody on their family and saying he's a great representative for Survivor (which he clearly is, the fan base loves him!) does not mean that Probst is being racist. Can anyone take a compliment at face value these days? The Richard Hatch I know is a straight shooter, not somebody who concocts in order to bring race into the equation where it is clearly irrelevant.

when I subscribed I was looking forward to a perspective of a former player not tied to promotions or sponsors to the show. This was disappointing.first, I am part of the LGBT community myself so I am not coming In "privalaged" or whatever. Probst saying he's a good rep for the show is what it is since Tony played the game well as you mentioned.The family was there as he just won the game so it was a complement and maybe a nod to them to supporting Tony by letting him play and allowing the family and story to be shared (family visit, reading of the votes,etc). we don't know! Family meant a lot to Tony through the show and we get to see his family at the end of it all. Jeff said the same thing to Jeremy and talked about his family the same way when Jeremy won second chance. You obviously have a chip on your shoulder and are taking everything to an extreme. I don't if it's to cause "buzz" and get more views or reactions. Or you are low on content because the season is over and we don't know if 41 is coming? but there is no evidence to show any of these issues are true. If you are you going to make videos accusing people of being racist or homophobic get some facts down instead of repeating the same things different ways with no evidence.

I don't agree with you Rich, I think you may be seeing things through your own filter here as opposed to how things actually are. Jeremy was a great example of an African American family man, Survivor got right behind him and he was taken out early because he was so likeable. Reed Kelly gave one of my favourite speeches of all time and I didn't see any exclusions in terms of filming with his partner Josh Canfield. Sandra, icon, won twice. It may be something that happens in production off camera but I've seen equality on Survivor, gender and ethnicity inclusive from the comforts of my couch, since S1E1. It is a shame you weren't included to play Winners at War, I wish you had been. I respect this video but I think it could have spent more time in the editing room.

Expect this channel to fold soon also if it was just created as a platform to rant. Just for the record, im not the biggest Jeff fan. A few other thoughts, Tony didnt need to be white straight male to win game, coulda been any color etc, anybody that watched the show can see he clearly ran things and played much better then the people that made the merge stage. Sarah on the other hand, i believe, tried to use cheap tactics to influence the jury ( the Hiliary C. maneuver, vote for me because ima a woman card) after being rather cocky in pregame interviews about her being the best survivor player, and ingame thinking she was running everything, did she forget she herself was blindsided on a couple of votes by Tony, voting out Sophie !

As a gay man of color, I must say this is so ridiculous and I don't even know where to begin. Survivor always has loved ones come in for the hug after the winner is announced. They had them already sitting there due to the format this season (and including Natalie's interracial relationship I should add). Apart from that, Survivor has always treated all sorts of families as normal on loved one visits, be they interracial relationships or same-sex relationships or whatever. And anyway, if there is to be a push for more inclusion of non-white and/or non-straight families, repressing the straight white family is definitely not the way to do it. It should be about including everyone so we are all equal on the in, not excluding straight white families so we are all equally on the outs (how ridiculous). If anything I dont think CBS exploited this moment with Tony and his family. My complaint is this segment was too short and there should have been more time speaking to them (as well as Natalie and Michele and their families as well). Acting offended over this non-issue is a quintessential example of leftism pushed way too far and often results in many people backlashing to the right way too far in response. Then next thing you know we are ideologically polarised with both sides fixated on identity politics to extremes that make them look like caricatures when unfortunately they're serious.
