This was one of the stupidest videos ever produced. Even in 2022 this video still makes me very uncomfortable. Very embarrassing for the fan base. If Tavares saw this (I don’t believe he did) I bet in a quiet moment if he did see this video he probably laughs his head off. But in truth. I don’t think he would care less about this stupid video. I was heartbroken when he left and I was crying for a good hour as a then sixteen year old I’m turning twenty on Sunday. But I was able to control myself and not make an embarrassing video after he left. The Islanders gave me incredible memories in the playoffs in 2019, 2020, and 2021. I think that was a pretty good consolation prize while Tavares hasn’t won a playoff series in his time with the Leafs *yet.

Idk it was the talk of the league for a few days when it came out. If Tavares didn’t see it he certainly heard about it and knew it existed. I agree he probably didn’t care but that doesn’t change that it was a shitty thing for the islanders to do. People sign with different teams all the time in hockey and singling out Tavares like that after all he did for the city was classless. Overall my least favourite fan base passing Boston, philly, leafs, etc. After this happened, but always glad to see there’s still a lot of sensible and mature islanders fans.
