You have to love dry as dust British humor. 😜Also, I love that Robert is connecting with us on social media. I fell in love with KC way back in 1969, and Fripp is still my guru...

OMGODDESS! You two are so inspirational during these COVID-19 times. I make a point of dressing up for Sunday Brunch even though I am alone and make a wonderful feast that lasts me all day and occasionally even some leftovers for Monday morning too. I think you're revealing interesting sides of yourself, especially Robert, dancing as a UNICORN and now tomorrow singing. Wonderful. Thankyou. To those folk's who said they were with partners who didn't like King Crimson's music, it's time to move on! You're either in tune with what they music is about or like one EX said it sounds like fingernails on a blackboard. Walking papers! Music is a HUGE part of our beings and if you are on the same musical wavelength then you aren't ever going to be compatible. Get rid of that partner and don't Settle for Less again. Thanks again Toyah and Robert. You've always been a huge part of my musical love of life. But now you're an Extra special part of my week with these bits and Sunday Brunch. Happy Lughnasadh to you all. Can't believe that it's already first Harvest. ✌❤🌽🥧🍓🎸🎶🕺💃🥂🙏 🇨🇦KEH

Dear Robert, I was a student at Berklee College of Music in the early 80’s. I attended a lecture of yours at a Boston venue. You told me to keep all my attention on my right hand. You were being heckled by a very rude person demanding that you play more music. You stated that “this appearance was promoted as a lecture so why did you come”. They said they won tickets on a radio promotion. You stomped off in disgust, which I totally supported. Problem is my attention has been focused on my right hand for nearly 40 years! Help! p.s. I played Larks Tongue in’s Aspic as the first song in my senior recital. Brought the house down in a jazz school! Thank you for the inspiration your music has brought to me.

ahhh, you suggest 'making the boyfriend listen to King Crimson for twelve hours'. My first introduction to King Crimson was 1970 New Years Eve, when the house-boss (communal setting) played King Crimson's "In the Court Of The Crimson King" and Mahavishnu Orchestra' "Birds Of Fire", for 12-14 hours, alternating between the two. on the first spins i thought....'what is this?' About 2 hrs in, i was hooked, and never had a better night listening to something 12-14 hrs straight.

As a result of this series, I've just watched an old documentary on Toyah. I guess this was a pretty typical example of how musicians from one side of the Pond could be big stars at home without reaching music fans on the other side, back in the early 80s. The one thing the documentary did not cover was when Toyah first hear King Crimson's music and what her initial reaction was. I'd be interested to hear that story.

Neutral Tones BY THOMAS HARDY We stood by a pond that winter day, And the sun was white, as though chidden of God, And a few leaves lay on the starving sod; - They had fallen from an ash, and were gray. Your eyes on me were as eyes that rove Over tedious riddles of years ago; And some words played between us to and fro On which lost the more by our love. The smile on your mouth was the deadest thing Alive enough to have strength to die; And a grin of bitterness swept thereby Like an ominous bird a-wing…. Since then, keen lessons that love deceives, And wrings with wrong, have shaped to me Your face, and the God curst sun, and a tree, And a pond edged with grayish leaves.

all very humerous, but ,though i cant quite equate the wholething, it s a shame that the unforgettable impact of the 1st three lps ,with the sinfield esoteric influence were passed by the later techno jazz rock thing, etc. (im sure that this mildly critical comment wont be welcomed.....)

I have a question that I have been agonising over since the 1980's, can I ask it here. When CDs came out in the 80's, it was said that you could spread jam on them and they would still play (See twitter.com/bbcarchive/status/969580823623163904?lang=en.) What album disk from the 80's from each of you would you choose me to spread something on and what topping to use? Marmite/Peanut Butter/KY Gel/... be creative please!!! I thank you so much and promise I will eat whatever you choose...
