Guided Analytical Meditation: Stages of the Path (Lam Rim) - Death and Impermanence
We engage in analytical meditation in order to aquaint our minds with the topics and material we have studied. To challenge the main points and generate a stable understanding based on reasoning and analysis. Rather than blindly accepting them, which is unstable.
The subject of Death and Impermanence is the third subject on the graduated path to enlightenment in the presentation by Master Lama Tsong-Khapa. By meditating on this topic we try realise the certainty of death, and conversely the uncertainty of it’s time. Therefore, resolve to utilise each moment we live to transform our minds - taking the essence of this life.
Regular meditation on the stages of the path to enlightenment helps to keep our practice and minds stable on the Buddhist path - bringing us ever closer to enlightenment.
