I visited these tunnels once, many years ago with my sister and her dog. We went there after dark with plans to spend the night. We used our flashlights to navigate through the middle tunnel. Once inside we turned off our flashlights and sat there in the dark passing a joint around. No bad vibes, I didn’t really feel creeped out or anything it was actually quite peaceful. We sat there quietly for about 30 minutes when we started hearing voices and saw people with flashlights coming down the tunnel toward us. My sister’s dog started going nuts, barking aggressively at the strangers. I got scared cause I thought it was the cops at first but it turned out to be just a group of teenagers looking for the ghost. Then one of them pulled out a ouija board. I’ve always been curious about ouija boards so I kinda wanted to stay just to see what would happen but my sister’s dog would just not stop barking. There was just no consoling her so my sister and I made our way back to the car to wait. Not 15 minutes goes by before those teenagers came flying out of those tunnels like bats outta hell. They all looked pretty freaked out. As they were jumping into their car to leave, one of them said they saw a humanoid creature with a dog face climbing up the wall in there. As soon as they left my sister and I broke out some whiskey and were just about to take some swigs and go back in the tunnel to look for the demon those kids summoned. Unfortunately right in that moment a cop pulled up behind us and told us we weren’t allowed to park there overnight. The cop let us off with a warning and I thanked my lucky stars he hadn’t caught us drinking the whiskey. So yeah..that was my experience at the haunted tunnels.

I thought for sure too, so I looked it up, but it's because it's kind of a weird construction. There's essentially three "tunnels", but only one is and has ever been used for traffic. Of the other two, one carries the creek, and the other is for overflow, apparently. But either way, they were only ever meant for water flow. It fooled me for sure because of how intricate they were built with the brick ceilings and everything, they sure look like they would've carried something other than water flow at some point in history. I suppose, as always, they don't quite make things like they used to.

The ventilation shaft is located between the active Keystone Corridor used by Amtrak and SEPTA trains and the abandoned Philadelphia and Thorndale Branch that provided a low-grade freight bypass around Downingtown, with the western end being between Tracks 2 and 3 of the Keystone Corridor at Thorndale and the eastern end at the Trenton Cutoff in Frazer (near where US Routes 30 and 202 intersect).

Good to see in my backyard again MI. I am guilty of flying through these tunnels as well when I go through them. Before the tunnels were built, I am pretty sure there was a long bridge there. Downingtown Historical Society had a picture of it in one of their newsletters about 2 years ago. The rail bed that went over the Downingtown High Bridge from your previous video, I believe went over these tunnels as well. It was cool to see that gap from up above. I always wanted to see it from that perspective. I mentioned in your last video, that three is a trail at the base of the trestle bridge that follows an old trolley line. There are some neat ruins back there. Old bridge abutments , farm buildings, some kind of old spa attraction. Also, jn the other side of town is another trail route that follows an old railroad right of way. There's an old dam, and some really old mill foundations. There were a lot ifvmills in Downingtown. It used to be called Milltown. Keep up the great videos.

Hi Chris, the thing is with bodies found in water, unless they are recent it's hard to get anything from fingerprints. Even if they could manage to get a viable print it would be a dead end if they didn't already have her prints on file. As for dental records, unless you know her name it's pretty impossible to get anything to compare them with. I really hope she is identified so she can rest in peace, thank you for sharing, much love. xx ❤
Just like the folklore of “ Midnight Mary” who supposedly was killed in a car wreck during the 30’s, at Fairless Hills,Pa. Truckers have seen her floating on Van Sciver Lake, at night, in a white dress, you know, the standard she was killed on her Prom Night, yardages, etc. I found something about her on the internet, but now I cannot find anything about her! I made a delivery to a home in Tullytown, asked the residents about, some people heard about it, some didn’t. I was a trucker, and have been on Bordentown road @ night, it’s a very creepy place at night, lemme know if you can find anything about this, I’m in Philly BTW.

This tunnel reminds me of an old railway tunnel in southern Ohio call Moonville tunnel that closed down in the 1970s and the tracks were also removed. There was a small village near the tunnel that became abandoned many, many years ago, and there is no trace of the town at all now. The tunnel has been claimed to be haunted by a young girl that was struck by a train while she was in the tunnel. There also a cemetery nearby that holds the graves of many Moonville residents dating way back. If you haven't done so yet, you should really check the tunnel out. The tunnel is very close to Lake Hope.

I was homeless for 3 years in my hometown of Las Vegas, and I lived mostly in the flood channels, they are tunnels for directing flood water (even though we only get 4 inches of rain every year, we get unbelievable flash floods, because all the water collects in the middle of the valley; before the tunnels were completed there was a famous photo taken of the Charleston underpass, where the major street Charleston goes under the train tracks, with the flood water only inches under the 14' clearance sign). At first, I lived behind the Excalibur and under Highway 15, in a tunnel that ran for 5 miles underneath the Strip, then I lived close to Mandalay Bay, in a tunnel for the runoff from the irrigation of a golf course. The major cause of Death for tunnel dwellers is eachother, followed by drugs, and then floods. I heard many storys about homeless people stabbing or bludgeoning eachother over practically nothing. Everybody who lived in the tunnels was undeniably and seriously insane, but I guess you'd have to be, to live down there, where it gets so dark we would have to have candles (we couldn't afford to keep batterys in flashlights), there's always a warm draft blowing from deep inside the tunnel, and at night the rats make a surprising amount of noise pushing trash around. When it was going to rain, some guys from Public Works would come down and warn us, because practically every year someone drowns in the tunnels during a flash flood, because they hit so fast and it could be water like 8 feet deep.

The issue of determining identity from fingerprints and especially dental records is having someplace to start. There is no central database of dental records to check with, especially computer catalogs ones so they tend to only check the records of known or suspected missing persons against the body. While there are major databases of fingerprints, usually they only contain criminals or people wo have been arrested at one point or another or someone who was fingerprinted for a job, etc. That leaves the vast majority of people uncatalogued in either area.
@ScarlettStunningSpace2 жыл бұрын
And you can't get fingerprints and dental records from everyone and store it in a giant database, sounds like some big privacy and security concerns there. I wouldn't be surprised if there were cold cases like this everywhere in the world. If you know what you're doing, it seems like getting away with murder is pretty easy like in this case. Thanks for covering this! All the memories came back to me when I went through these tunnels when I was younger. It must been when I was 10 when I signed up for a camp over in Paradise farms camps in the summer. The camp place was right up the road from the tunnels. The camp was run by a company that my mom worked for. She sent me there because I was young and didn't want me home alone. I remember going in the pitched black tunnels in our school bus. There was barely any traffic around and I always had a weird feeling about the area. In all my life going to places, that has to be the weirdest area I have been to. Something didn't feel right every time I was there. I don't typically get scared about tunnels, but there was always something about this tunnel that was unnerving and strange. I always thought something was in the tunnel when we went through it. Today is the first time I learned about the murder that happened there. Just thinking about it now just gives me goosebumps.

My school mate found a severed hand back in 82 or 83 along boot road. The suitcase incident happened on 7-11-95, than Nick Bergs death and dismemberment happened in 2005. Nicks neighborhood was along Boot road. His dad taught at my school . I had prior knowledge of the attacks of sept,11 for 6 years. That boot road intersection in my channel thumbnail is at boot road and Pheonixville pike. The 2 towers and the 7-11 sign would remind me to go to the twin towers and warn people. I almost did in july of 2001. The Amaco tourch reminds me of the statue of liberty lining up with the towers. Media used to make 7-11 terrorist jokes before 9-11. I was 24 in 1995. That twin tunnel murder gave me nightmares. the word BINE was in the nightmare. it was wispered to me loudly in the nightmare. i dont know what BINE was fore. it means a vine in the dictionary. maybe i was getting a warning about ColumBINE. i dont know. oh well

She most likely was brought a good distance by a long haul trucker . Probably picked up several states away and then dumped where no one would be able to identify her . The chance she would've reported as missing by family or friends is highly unlikely . Most people assume that the police to all states and counties and into every police station just didn't happen . IT SHOULD , BUT DOESNT. . A CAR COULD ALSO HAVE BROUGHT HER FAR AWAY TO DUMP . Most likely a long haul trucker less often stopped by cops on the interstates that eventually do go thru perfect locations for body dumping and eluding being seen , heard or caught . By the time bodies are found they can be clear across the country. Far away from being connected to the murders .

Her dna, dental records, and fingerprints are all available for comparison. You can’t do ANY research before posting? Disgusting. Literally in the first thing I clicked. She deserves better.

So yeah, finger prints are only helpful if the person is in the F.P. data base. So unless she's been arrested, been in the military or a police force including the FBI, DEA, & ATF. Or had herself printed for some other reason (a lot of parents get there kids printed in case they're kidnapped). Otherwise she wouldn't be in the Database. As for dental. It only works if you have dental records to compare them against the teeth in the body. There is no dental database. Doctor/patient privilege being just one reason why. The best bet would be to submit her DNA to an ancestry website to see if she has any family. That's what Cold Case detectives been doing lately. They've had a lot of success. Just look at the recent case of "the boy in the box" in Philadelphia being solved after how many decades. They used the website to find out his identity. They also got a lot of innocent ppl out of jail as well. Hope that answers some questions.🧐

Jane doe honestly 1. Ran away or got into it with family and family Just didn't/don't care. 2. Family involved in some way because even after getting into it or whatever don't you think they would eventually look for her?

So tragic the history. That tunnel has. Feel bad for the woman in the suitcase. She didn't deserve to go out that way. Her case was not given. The proper respect nor investigation it deserved. Equally, as tragic is the woman that hung herself. Day or night you wouldn't find me. Driving through that tunnel. Too many dangerous scenarios could play out. It has no lighting. Can you imagine how creepy. It must feel at night? Hope whoever committed this monstrous murder. Will receive due punishment in the next life,. If not punished here on this earth. Close that tunnel.

Less traffic when we were teens. At night we would go in and roll down windows and turn off headlights.. This was 96-98..... So it got people hearing all kinds of stuff, claiming to see rope hanging and freaking out... To many people around now.

Me and my buddies came here about 6 years ago to ghost hunt. Had some fun equipment loaned to us from my buddies dad who ghost hunted for real as a side job. We were in the walkthrough tunnel for about 30-45 mins. Had lasers set up Evp cameras. Talking shit lol so we decided to head out and the tunnel was somewhat flooded so we had to walkout single file. I was second to last and my buddy behind me had the evp, he taps me and says yo this thing is going crazy and I look at it and it really was spiking looking like it was gonna break and next thing we know this super loud shriek echos through the tunnel. Me and him damn near pushed eachother in the mud to get outta there and my buddies who got out first and were by the street even heard it and thought it was us messing with them but we were actually shaken up. Never ever witnessed anything like that and haven’t since. Like I said we were in there for quite awhile with lights and everything there was no one else in there. And it was kinda late so I doubt anyone was walking through the other side. Wanna go back one day, something weird definitely lurking in there

I don't know about you guys, but with earphones on I can hear a whiney noise at the end noise (seems to start at 8:49). Probably some kind of burglar alarm, but still, any such facilities around? 😨

This bridge is an eyesore and a hazard. It should be completely destroyed and the area restored to nature. For crying out loud! There are highways and walkways underneath, cars and people could be struck by falling debris. An aid to suicide. There is no need for this ruin.

Yo..u don't know that someone Didn't report her missing. There are plenty of missing people Reported in this country that have not been found ...yet...And maybe she is1 of those ... she could be from The other side of the country. This would be a good time for you or for maybe 1 of your followers to do a examination of what she appeared to look like compared to other missing people especially other states , that have been reported and see it she's a match to any of those
