1990. 15 years old. Not a great life. Asking myself what is the point. Listening to songs like this in a darkened room. Somehow I kept going. Life a lot better after high school. Thanks Death Angel and all the other bands of my youth.

Guess I was the old guy at the bar, I was 25 and in the pit for everyone of those you mentioned in '90 and never leave Testament out of the discussion they still are one of the preeminent thrash bands ever. Damn I drank a shit load of beer, smoked weed, and lots of acid and I'm still here. Good times had by all.

+Scott Fish truth. So glad to have grown up in the Bay Area in the 80s, early 90s, so I got to be exposed to them early on.... and so glad to see them back and still awesome. Caught them taking a break from opening for Anthrax/Exodus in Columbus a few years back and they put on one hell of a show. Literally ended up having to do multiple chiropractic visits after from neck damage from the pit, lol.

Sitting at the window staring down Listen to the people shuffle around and around Hear the children laughing Feel the morning breeze (Feel the morning breeze) Sunlight warms his skin The autumn air is taken in A nearby bird sings it's song for him For him... Take it You're looking at him He's looking through you (A room with a view...) Who's fooling who? There's got to be something that he knew So there he sits and some may wonder About the sly grin on his face Yet little do they know (They don't have a clue) The boundaries of his wisdom In the solitude of his kingdom You're looking at him He's looking through you (A room with a view...) Who's fooling who? There's got to be something that he knew

Like so many in the comments, I was 16 in 1990. My best friend turned me on to these boys, and he had the same black Ovation. He also turned me on to guitar - he was a helluva player and even back then was ripping this solo - to the point where we formed a band, and then a 2 man acoustical duo in our "old age". He died in 2020, and this song is like a conduit to his soul from mine. Peace.

These guys were all between 17 and 22 years old when they recorded this. That still blows my mind. I get that they recorded The Ultra Violence 3+ years earlier, and that's amazing for obvious reasons, but this song sounds like something that a person would need 40+ years of life experience just to even think of writing, let alone to pull it off. Whatever Death Angel achieves in their career, they'll never get as much credit as they deserve.

This is the first time that I have ever heard Death Angel, which is classified as a Thrash Metal Band from California that got started in 1982. I have to say that they are musically talented. You can hear them play and sing harmonies in that rock ballad. And Rob Cavestany playing Classical Spanish Acoustic guitar or it really seemed like he was playing with sheer talent there, beautiful! Ted Aguilar with the Rhythm guitar and both doing back up vocals. Damien Sisson on the Bass guitar and Mark Osegueda with Lead Vocals. Great Singing voice! Mahtava! And Will Carroll on the Drums. This ballad was great but I wouldn't know they were a Thrash band unless I hear another one of their songs. They are really talented, so thumbs up on Death Angel! You Rock!! 🤘🏻🖤🎸🖤😈

@@kingnaildriver7232 I bought that album...sorry guys but most of your fans won't be heading in that direction. Reminds me of Black Tide more recently. Go listen to Shockwave, great thrash song. Then go look at the comments. "You were our hope! You were suppose to slay the emo hoards, not join them!". They have a great thrash tone on the first album and like DA were a very young band. The lead singers voice changed and the band kinda just turned to meh.

I love when thrash bands decide to do ballads. Why? They WORK. This moved me back in the day, moves me still.

I strongly believe this is the best Thrash band of all time. I spent so much time with my head buried in Megadeth. I overlooked this band for a long time. They are my favorite now.

Dude totally When I was a kid Metallica came out but I heard Megadeth and it just resonated more with me .missed out on so much. But today over the last couple years has been my reawakening for metal . Finding bands I overlooked when young like Death Angel and Testament and finding newer bands like Trivium too

Music & lyrics with true foundations & heart❣ Something most new bands unfortunately lack! Wish more could realize this & fight to make music for the love & not just money & fame. Screw being like Metallica! Look how that went! Death Angel tis true aspirations!

I don’’t business what anybody says, Act III was fire. The production on it was top shelf. Underrated band. I remember growing up in NJ and all the Pinoy I skated with were heavy into this band. Maximum respect
