To summarize a few fun key points about Reverse Flash being petty as all hell (as taken from a website summarizing these points) -He tore up the letter from Batman's Father in front of Batman -Planted bombs in Flash's Rouges and was ready to blow them all up after they helped him capture Flash (going so far as to die with Barry in said explosion if necessary) -Hit on Flash's wife and then killed her by vibrating his hand through her head -Threatened Flash's next wife on their wedding day -The aforementioned "Got so jealous of one girl for not being his boyfriend that he murdered every single other boyfriend she had before making her go mute for still not accepting him -And that fun moment about Barry's mom getting killed by his father? That was him, Barry. He framed your father to make it look like he was the one who did it. Reverse Flash seems like the real epidome of a fanboy you not only don't want to know, but one you who will never go the hell away.

I was rooting for Goku Black because I've never heard of Reverse Flash. Off top I thought this was random and a mismatch since everyone in the DBZ/S universe is so overpowered with even minor characters being able to destroy planets. However after learning of Reverse Flash's backstory I now know how misguided my assumptions were. "So he can run fast, what's the big deal?" But that was just the tip of the iceberg, Reverse Flash is super OP and the more I learned of his abilities the more mind-blown I became.🤯 I realize now that the power levels in the DC universe are just as ridiculous as DBZ/S if not more so. And with both opponents being ruthless villains with time powers the match-up made a lot of sense. I could tell that a lot of thought and effort went into this. I would have been satisfied with the discussion alone but to actually animate the fight on top of that, bravo. 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 And of course having live reactions from Dwayne and Jaz made it all the better. Time to find a playlist and go on a binge!

Say what you will about Death Battle fights as of late, but this one felt like it was honest to god "Return to basics." It is one thing to have these crazy fights play out as they do, but it's another of how much fun they had putting this all together. I mean, when you have two characters who basically have become time paradoxes, might as well have fun and have the two murder each other several times over while making it seem meaningless. The writing was great, the action was great, and the overall execution (besides Goku Black's analysis which was really... not that well put together; especially in comparison to what we saw for Reverse Flash) was simply outstanding.

Not really. They didn't kill each other, since both were existent across time, so all they did was destroy a bunch of their physical bodies. Reverse-Flash won (yes, it's "won" and not "one", know the difference) by destroying the Time Ring and then killing Goku Black, because without the Time Ring, Black could then be fully killed once and for all. How I understand Dragonball time-travel is that whenever there's an event that splits time in two, creates a new timeline, which creates a new time-ring, which creates multiples of the same character, that's why Kid Trunks and Future Trunks both exist.
