In the actual Greek Mythology. Hades is a very nice and pretty chill dude, and is very respectful to his wife and family. Funny in every media they make Hades a bad guy just because he lives in Olympus's underworld.

Not Xena. That show was pretty faithful to the mythology, and treated Hades as an ally rather than an antagonist.

Actually, Ken, you are wrong on that. Hercules specifically stated to Sora during their rematch that he was impressed Sora beat him since he was NOT holding back any of his strength, meaning Sora is legitimately stronger than him.

I honestly think that’s Sora and Pit would be friends. Both characters have spiky brown hair both have the same attitude both have a theme of light! Both characters have fought Hades and both dark Pit And Roxas opposites! So yeah, I would think that they would be friends rather than enemies

Gotta say, as a massive Kingdom Hearts fan (KH2 is my favorite game of all time), just playing the numbered games isn't enough. There are also all the games in-between, some people call them "spin-offs" or "side games," but that undermines how important they are to the story. Like, if someone wanted to get into the MCU, you wouldn't recommend they JUST watch the Avengers movies, right? As with any other series, I recommend people play the Kingdom Hearts series in release order.

If I'm not mistaken, this Death Battle was released before Kingdom Hearts III was released. If this fight happened after the events of Kingdom Hearts III, this would've been a bigger stomp in Sora's favor.

Honestly, I feel like stomps (if proven to be such) can really drag down my enjoyment of death battles almost as much as ones that are flat out wrong, because its not really that fair or respectful to either character. The winner doesnt actually get to be showcased honestly or in any sort of real contest, and the loser is just humiliated in a doomed encounter. SPOILERS BELOW, DONT READ FURTHER KEN AND BETH Korra vs Storm and Shadow vs Ryuko are big offenders.

DeathBattle doesn't animate stomps, even if some matchups themselves happen to be 1 sided. It destroys the entertainment value of the show and doesn't let both characters show off. Bragging about and insisting your fav should "stomp" regardless just sounds like cringy fanboyism.

@@Ash_Yu They do animate "stomps" if it's a highly requested one (I.e. Flash vs Quicksilver and Homelander vs Omni-Man) or if they had no knowledge it would be a stomp until they find the information on it (Raiden vs Wolverine, and Spongebob vs Aqua Man).

Even if some battles ARE stomps, Death Battle at least makes a spectacle out of it, and not just "character A one-shots character B, so the battle lasts but 5 seconds." Seems even they know how petty that would be, excluding season 1.

Should be noted, Pit has also dodged magical and natural lightning. Magical from Phosphora, and natural from the storm clouds he flew through to get to the temple she held herself up in.

Wiz made a mistake in the analysis of Sora, saying that he was strong enough to tank a musket shot, but the dude who fired at him was Clayton from Tarzan and he uses a shotgun, meaning that Sora was hit by something much more deadly than a musket.

Fun fact about this episode, they got actual VAs for Sora and Pit, Pit has Justin Briner who voiced Deku, and Sora has Bryce Papenbrook who voiced Cat Noir

This reminds me. Once KHIV gets a relese date (or whenever you feel like it) i recomend watching "A Good Enough Summary of Kingdom Hearts" as well as "A Good Enough Summary of Kingdom Hearts III". Only playing the number games might come back to bite you if you dont know whats happening. (TBF most people that have played all 13 dont know whats happening either)

Kingdom Hearts fan here, and I was so happy with the result. And now is a good of time as any to once again recommend the “Hades Misguidance” series. Which is a fan-made parody to “Palutena’s Guidance”. So instead of Palutena giving helpful advice, Hades just smacks talk either Pit and/or his opponents either by their looks, gameplay, series reception by fans, or the companies that made them. It’s some pretty fun stuff. And while you would get more out of it if you’re very familiar with the characters, I think you two would still enjoy it as another weekly series. Maybe like “Misguidance Mondays” or something like that.

Just playing the numbered games absolutely is not enough. You’ll be extremely confused by the time Kingdom Hearts 4 rolls around. Dream Drop Distance and Birth By Sleep especially are extremely important,

Sora was nerfed a bit in this fight. He never used Reflect or Genie summon, those two things are usually the win tactics for any Sora fan when "Sora vs anything" discussion is going on.

Sora is definitely more powerful than pit, but they made him fight in ways he wouldnt normally fight in this death battle. funny enough this is probably one of the few times when DBX actually had a better fight using one of the death battle combatants.

The guy that owned Screwattack is trying to it the rights back so Death Battle might still be around but as for Wiz and Boomstick their voice actors and the old owner used to be close friends but I heard they don't talk to each other anymore.

This was a pretty interesting Matchup, although I do feel like there could’ve been a better Matchup for Sora, I hope they have Sora Return at some point. Anyway, have you done Ragna vs Sol Badguy yet? If not, i recommend doing that one next.

While I enjoyed this epidode and it was good for the time it definetly has it's issues wich make it so it could had been better. There are little things such as the analisis for both characters being fine for both (excep some minor mistakes) but I think a modern treatment could make both characters more justice, that been said there are things more noticeable. For instance i don't like the logic use for both characters of "they have an attack that at bare minimum made X amount of force, therefore we will consider that their best and compare it" and they didn't represent very well how they fight. There are things that are very well animated for the time but it is not faithfull nor the best they could do, per example every type of weapon he has forces him to play and fight in different ways acording to its characteristics, from playing defensively from afar from going phisical and things in between (this is shown very well in the dark pit fight), but here there is almost none of that, and with Sora it is worse (plus there are better feats for him that would give a better idea of what he is like or what he is capeable of), I get it would be hard to show everything he could do but at least they could have him doing things in a faithfull manner wich would result in a more interesting fight such as his capeabilities to combo everything he has (instead of having him cast fire in a generic manner) and his movility going from close to far combat easily etc...., this combined with Pit different arsenal and mobility would have been great even if their animations weren't as the ones we are having nowadays. Plus, the stop magic dosen't work like that, it stops a target in time, not an attack (nor it is casted like that) and what it is worse, using the light unlocking beam as an attack, wich is pretty cuestionable as it was only used twice in a fight, the first one failed miserably and therefore he has better attacks, and the second one in wich it only worked to incapacitate an already weaken boss and it was done with help (and in kh3 it was also used, but it was a response from a similar attack), they used an iconic move as a finisher when it isn't suposed to even be an attack plus I don't think the moon in Halloween Town is supposed to be like ours so there is a logical flaw there. Other minor mistakes or miss opprtunities aside I like things such as them fighting in the Olimpus Coliseum since it works great for both and as I say it is still a good episode, but still there are a lot of things that were improveable or somewhat wrong and both characters i think could have been made more justice and while i don't mind the match up itself and I enjoyed it is a bit forced and there are better oponents for both (such as Noctis for Sora or Zagreus for Pit among others). All of this being said this is also the reason why I would like a Vanitas vs Dark Pit episode, not only because of the characters but because it could do right the things this episode did not and there is potencial for a good one in many aspects specially seeing how they do things now. I just hope the do scaling good for kh the next time it comes instead of agreeing with the people who say nonsense such as the characters being universal busters, not only because it is wrong and would missrepresent the franchise but because it would make some interesting fights pointless

@ivanteoh930 Sora's best friend, Riku uses darkness what are you talking about? He doesn't think very highly of it that much, but if I saw my world get destroyed by it I wouldn't think highly of it either because of it's highly destructive nature.
