I always appreciated how sincere Death was in that scene. Throughout the entire game, we see him absolutely slaughters everything and rightly so, but it's brutal to watch and partake in. But in this instance, he didn't argue, didn't plead his case, he respectfully turns round, accepted his duty and in one clean swing: instant death. No pain, no suffering, just peace. Death can be what causes you the most suffering, or what releases you from it.

22:00 After seeing this moment on my first playthrough, it made me realize that even though Death is..., and everyone immediately thinks that 'Dying = Pain" (and that's putting it lightly), But here, Once The guy asks Death to kill him, Death makes sure if he's 100% set on this, and after the guy tells him he is knowing he can't live on with guilt, Death gives him a swift, painless end. Death doesn't enjoy taking the lives of those who don't really deserve it or it's not yet time for them to go. It Humanizes him in a way

This was one of the best rpg/action games I played In a long time. Phenomenal voice acting, expansive gameplay, enchanting soundtrack and great story. I truly hope the final Darksiders game is on par with this one and that Death's voice actor returns.

True about death. Michael Wincott truly made death one of the best videogame characters I've ever experienced. As for DS3 and Fury, yes it does not compare to DS2. It was more like DS1, but it seemed rushed. The game seemed much shorter and it looked like it was meant to be more of a bridge between the games, other than it's own epic story. I liked Fury and all the characters, just wish they made it longer to flesh the characters out.

Have you ever played a game so good that it becomes a unit of comparison for every game you play afterwards? Darksiders 2 is that game for me! Everything about this game just screams fun! Puzzle platforming? Fun! Combat? Fun! Button mapping? FUN! Level Traversal so good that you forget there's a fast travel system? *FUN!!!* The only games to come close to it are the Transformers: War for/Fall of Cybertron games. Now on the other end of that spectrum, we have Dragon's Dogma. Now that's a story on it's own.

I gotta love just how much pure venom Death puts into his words towards Lilith. How guarded he is around her in comparison to others. Even when meeting strangers like Eidard, he's cautious but not completely on guard. With Lilith, that's a whole other story. His body language screams visibly uncomfortable and pissed at the same time. Especially when she touches him. Hell when Eidard barely touched him, the most Death did was practically scurry away from him. You can't tell me he didn't either, dude was quick to get out from under his hand. With Lilith, he clenches his fists the first time, then smacks her hand away the second time. But his body language does show how uncomfortable he actually is under that anger he's showing outwardly. He'd rather show fear around a stranger, than the woman who calls herself 'Mother'. If that isn't telling as hell I don't know what is. Aside from that moment that shows badassery and vulnerability, I loved watching Basileus get fucking wrecked. Just absolutely beat to shit. Deserved it for being a nuisance too. No wonder his King killed him. Can't say why he'd kill the other two beyond disobedience tho.

Shame we rarely see these kind of stylized graphics these days, the way the textures are drawn makes the game ageless in my eyes. Like the WoW's revamped graphics or something like Allods but better. The recent League of Legends spinoff "Ruined King" also has this sort of appeal but I have yet to try it. The devs of this game also did the isometric spinoff prequel for this series.

You know I never played the first game or the third and didn't get into this one straight away but I always loved how they went with that comic look, it's such a different idea than most games. Once I got into this one though I 100% it on apocalypse. Only issue I had with the game is that apocalypse is too easy for the hardest mode like way too easy. I felt like I was playing the game on easy on the hardest difficulty and that kind of ruined it as I enjoy the challenge and only play games on the hardest the first time. Comparing this to the recent god of war on the hardest and yeah god of war was harder but only for one thing the Valkyrie queen everything else was easy. It feels like now most games hardest difficulty is too easy. But yeah I actually enjoyed this game though, never did the dlc except the one with the ice dragon but good game.
