They have some similarities, Papyrus being Egocentric, while Mettaton is Narsicistic. Both of them have similar actions too, if i remember correctly, they both catch the stick with their mouth if you throw it at them, also, in both cases, if you try and say rude stuff to them, they'll think you are talking about yourself. I know all of this cuz i like both of those characters lol Again, i'm not saying that i ship it, but i can see how some ppl may think it could work i guess. In any case it's just a ship of two fictional characters, nothing to get mad at imo lol
