There's something magic about them hearing "new Van Halen" in the van on the way over to Morrisound. What an era!

All the death metal that came out of Morrisound in early 90s is top quality on every level. Mad respect to Scott and the guys.

I still think Human was their best album as a whole. From the intense opening all the way through, it was a heavy metal masterpiece. Death is actually underrated in my opinion.

Robert Paul Gass Sabbath is heavy metal, Death is... need I explain further?
@marcsee40728 жыл бұрын
+Robert Paul Gass 100% agree - Human is the most important album of death metal - concept / execution / musicality / message / legacy. I was 13yo when this came out - i remember the day i listened to creeping drums in triplets... never stopped listening to this album... the new remaster done by Jim Morrison is so good - toms and bass up - much needed for this master piece. Death is the only band that could do different things on each album and be relevant. Human and Individual... are my all time best.
@Walamonga13138 жыл бұрын
+Robert Paul Gass Sound of Perseverance man! It should be called "The Sound of Perfection". Human is a close second.
@marcsee40728 жыл бұрын
+Walamonga 1313 music is solid - Chuck's voice is just too much on this album. i am stuck with Human and Individual... as my all time fav - permanent fixture on my iphone.

I believe death was too good for their time. I think they're only underrated to the non metal heads. True metal heads know that DEATH is the fucken shit. long live chuck

These videos are great... I met Sean while Death was promoting this album. During their “In Human” Tour they played here in Atlanta at the old Masquerade. After the gig, Chuck was busy but smiled and shook my hand in passing, however Sean stopped and spoke to me and my best friend at the time (MM). He was very polite, friendly and down to earth dude. It was a great show. Still got the shirt I bought that night. For the 15 year old version of myself, it was a very cool night in January of 1992. R.I.P. Sean Reinert

Human was the first death metal album I bought in 2007 when I was 13 years old and this album change my life and my conception for heavy music forever! Riffs, lyrics, solos, vocals... Extremely perfect! I miss you Chuck!

He passed away in 2001. That was when I just started getting into Death. I already was way into Morbid Angel & Cannibal Corpse. First Death album I bought was Individual Thought Patterns. Spiritual Healing is my favorite. Human is great too.

I keep thinking, even a a metal place like Morris Sound, that at the time they had to be thinking that these guys were on another level than most with regards to writings and talent of each player. The drumming at the time was some of the most impressive I had heard at the time and stands to this day. I am amazed at the drumming on this album.

You go to Death, Carcass, Morbid Angel, Cynic, Atheist, Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse, Entombed, Obituary and they all sounded different, yet they all make great music.

i'm so glad i was able to grow up in this era. This is when death metal/thrash/hard core/punk/etc were true & great songs were being written. Then this grunge/alternative scene broke in the 90's. I remember going to see the famous GiganTour in the mid 90's in Toronto,Ontario,Canada & it was obviously Megadeth,Slayer,Anthrax & Alice N Chains which was very odd & Alice n Chains took a lot of abuse on that tour from fans & the other bands, but they took it with grace & powered through it. Jerry Cantrell & Michael Inez are true metal musicians & Michael Inez has played in some very iconic metal bands such as Ozzy & Black Label Society.

Death-- the most underrated band in metal history. I know, I know, that's hyperbole. But still, the way they could be so heavy and brutal while at the same time sounding melodic and even...elegant. They were amazing. RIP to Chuck and Sean...gone but not forgotten!
@GiotheGhreat9 жыл бұрын
I found out after a year that Chuck passed away and honestly even if I didn't met him neither went to Death concert's I almost shed a tear because his music was big part of my life since I was 15 years old, the first time I heard about Death was on TV and that's how I got into death metal (15 years later I found out that my song likes Death too) , then I heard the album Human and I was speechless, Chuck's music is amazing. Now I had the privilege to listen to Human "Deluxe Edition" and those instrumentals solos are just perfect to listen at the office lol
