I think the heterosexual explanation would be that they're so into this game of chess, that nothing else matters to them. And them becoming entwined is just them becoming two sides of the same coin. A lot of it can be explained by them trying see and and block off thier minds. And the lyric "come with me into the bitter end could just be them not wanting thier chess game to be over. when light says why must he drive me this way he could totally just be talking about the game of tenis. theres no proof of anything else he might be talking about. Lastly them choking out thier last breath is just thier way of saying they want to kill eachother Now that I've explained to you how this song could not be about them being gay I can truthfully say without a shadow of a doubt, that this is the gayest song I've ever heard.

Ryuk has other plans and sends him to a universe where everything is the same but Light is an omega. I loved this one, it was hilarious) Death is not the end- SilchasRuin (this one is a masterpiece. Seriously, one of the best fics I've read) Arcanas- kippylarue (Yotsuba arc Light does some self exploration. Unfinished) Back Again- Brenna1918 (Time travel fix it. This. Is. AMAZING PERFECT SHOW STOPPING IDHEBEIW, read this one seriously u have to. Light's unconditional, eternal love for L is the sweetest thing ever and Light actually stays pretty in character Shining Light- TwilightMaster15 (Ryuk wonders what would happen if he gives his death note to an infant. He becomes Light's third parent) Gag Order- TrashKing( Vanya_Deyja) (A very unique take on Shinigami Light. Loved this one) New Game- the same author as the previous one ( Yotsuba arc Light being a little more honest with himself. And L) Sweet Dreams Are Made Of This- Pyreneese (L has troubles sleeping....It's heartbreaking but very worth it, Happy ending too)
