Anyone else think that if the musical ended with Near that this song would have gotten a reprise with the roles somewhat reversed (L stoically confronting is approaching death while Light brags about his victory, to Light frantically panicking in the face of his defeat while Near calmly, if smugly explains how he solved the case).

That would have been so cool! Or maybe Near could be singing to Light and then L joins in as Light slowly dies.

@SnivyLink True, I wonder how the second half of the anime would have to be abbreviated for it to not make the musical too long.

sounds better then having ryuk killing light when he just gain the upper hand and no way would have been taken by the police this ryuk saw no other interesting possibility it really bothered me

This proves a point I have, both the anime and musical goes perfect with one another and both are way better than the 2017 Netflix movie

Worst adaptations 1. Dragonball evolution (Geeko) 2. The last airbender (Uung) 3. The lightning thief (Peter Johnson) 4. Death note 2017 (Light Turner)

the japan movies had the best ending(spoilers) having l write his name first killing him in a few month but have him still be the winner the manga was great having a cult keep light idea alive the anime was a good neutral end same as the manga but no way to know if light vision was lost to the people (or if he become a Shinigami ) the netflix series just did not know the ideas well to do it as if it was base in america situation also made light really dumb till the end but was way to late

the musical i have a bit a problem of ryuk being to trigger happy to kill light when all other ryuks waited till he was in a corner of no way out the musical had him kill light when he won whats interesting about that

@@chrisdonovan205 I actually really like the musicals ending though I definitely see why some people don't. What Ryuk did fits with his characterization in the musical, in other adaptations Ryuk is happy to simply continue watching Light kill people from his room, but in the musical Ryuk finds that part incredibly boring and complains several times. After light kills L he knows that things are going to go right back to the way things were seemingly without opposition. Not to mention how the musical leaves the characters not knowing who was truly Kira in the end with Light dead to a heart attack and L shot in the head. For me it's one of my favorite death note endings

@@anonymouspumpkin8296 ya but then here is my other problem kira will just be a legend yes maybe it fits in that reality but no one won i get you're point but i like a clear winner or a extension of their influence as an ending also ryuk is my favorite character because he is usually written as a people watcher and being content with seeing stupid people try to do their goals and watching any world just blow up in some way in the people faces and he knew other people like l could come since he knows light actions are destructive a lot of people i know can relate seeing friends or family trying something stupid maybe not change the world but rl shit have a lot of temptation's

I honestly love Light's face at the end, especially when L's falling and he's in the background watching. It's as if he's thinking, 'I did it!!!... Wait, I di it... This is real." Like it all just caught up to him

Hmm gotta love the lyrics sync with the scene although the part where light say a minute more and L is saying a closing door can be the scene where light catches L body as L slowly shutting his eye

I don't think l actually dies in or at the end of the song, why? Because this is right after he asked rem to kill l and as you may remember shortly after L concludes that is he dies within the next few days, Light is definitely Kira, which causes Light to wait for a better time to kill L.
@detectiveprincegoroakechi48156 жыл бұрын
If your referring to the episodes the amv uses I used the one L died and the one before, if your referring to the actual musical the lyrics would indicate this being the song accompanying the death of L
@infernalpear53326 жыл бұрын
Detective Prince Goro Akechi I have doubt. You see, Writer Frank has an addiction to changing shit. Like The in the Count of Monte Cristo Edmund gets back together with Mercedes. Or in his Bonnie and Clyde how he couldn't bare to kill them so he ended ambiguously. Maybe he decided to kill L but it's unlike him, I'd be shocked if he didn't fog this up

Ivan Menchell, scriptwriter, shared the script for this song on Twitter. This song comes just before L's death (at the end of the song, there is ticking, followed by Light claiming the victory).
@LyricNear6 жыл бұрын
Okay. So, having seen the show, here's how it goes down. If anyone cares. L doesn't tell the task force the whole "if I die, Light is Kira" thing. After L's first verse there's an interlude, Light and L confront each other and Light admits that he is Kira. After the song, Light pulls out a gun, and tells L that Rem has written that he will be killed by it, and it will be a suicide. He passes the gun to him and slowly redirects L's hand so it's pointing to his head. L fires, and falls to the ground dead. Light celebrates for a second before Ryuk decides to kill him, saying that things will be too boring with L gone. Light goes insane, similar to the end of the series, and dies of a heart attack.
@calmyin70734 жыл бұрын
Well I have an alternate idea .How about this... Light thought L was his enemy but deep down L was his best friend which he didn't noticed until he killed L .After L's death he found out that killing criminals by death note will never make a perfect world because they would find another ways to serve crimes.He thought he killed his best friend just to have some stupid powers.Such grim drove him to commit suicide by writing down his own name on death note.He died leaving a note claiming his guilts to the task force. However they never made it public and burnt all the death note that light put together as the evidences .Thus the terror of kira vanished forever.
