Death Note the Musical (2017) | Stalemate/A Game of Death | Jp/Rom/Eng Lyrics

Please note: I'm not entirely fluent in Japanese, so feel free to correct any mistakes I may have made during translation. I did this for fun and nothing more.
This is "Shi no Game", the track from the 2017 Japanese production of Death Note the Musical, featuring Koike Teppei as L and Urai Kenji as Yagami Light.

While I mostly love this version just as much as If not more than the English version, one thing I’m not a fan of is L seeming a bit more arrogant. If you pay attention to the English version, you’ll notice that he only talks about his strategies, while Light gloats a lot more (for example: What could I be missing vs I don’t need an unfair advantage because I’ll win anyway, or I’ll wait also but more patiently vs we’ll see who blinks first.) L acknowledges the possibility of something going wrong while Light just gloats about how victory is assured. And while Light does ultimately win, not only does he do it by completely abandoning the rules, he pays for his victory with his life. Compare the Japanese and English lines: if he kills while he’s with me, like it or not I am his alibi vs he’s almost too perfect, and that’s his fatal flaw. L clearly seems more arrogant in one version than the other. Otherwise, I love both. Great video, by the way!
