Death of Canadian tourist in Dublin | Neno Dolmajian RIP | Crime in Ireland |

The Taoiseach Simon Harris has mentioned in Dail Eireann that the June 23rd attack on Neno Dolmajian (41), a single man from Montreal is expected to become a murder inquiry.
Mr Harris went onto say that 157 Gardai just graduated and 102 of those Gardai will be stationed in Dublin. He said he is committed to high police visibility in Dublin and went on to say that operation Irene will commence for the summer months to enhance community safety and confidence.

It's becoming more and more obvious that this fully open border policy the EU are taking isn't working something needs to be done about it at EU level and we need laws in this country that protect ordanry people not criminal's. No wonder people are leaving the guards they bring criminals to justice and their put on trial, the criminal's are laughting at the guards and the judicial system and things will only get worse if the government don't make new laws to treat criminals like criminals and not reward criminality because this country Is now a criminals play ground. Thousands of Irish orphans landed in Quebec during the famine years , their parents died during the famine or on the voyage across, when they reached Quebec they were cared for by the French people who risked their own lives because of the typhoid etc . I've been involved in a work project in Romania for a couple of years. I have an apartment in Bucharest and I fly back to Dublin every couple of weeks. Bucharest is safe, clean and a very nice welcoming city. The people are civilised and generally well behaved but the whole country has a very public and heavy police presence. Small rural villages all have their police stations and patrol cars. You won't walk 2 streets in Bucharest without seeing a patrol car passing by. Then I fly back to Dublin which just feels like a dirty, dangerous lawless kip. (but it's got lots of "pride" flags so yay) Let's be honest. These perpetrators aren't the average Romanian. These are a certain community prominent within Romania - and disliked as much here as anywhere. They come to western European nations because of the benefits (you should see the mansions they are building with your money but that's a whole other issue) and because of the liberal soft policing. They don't get away with acting like this in Romania. My wife went to A and E in Belfast and had to witness a family of these people abuse the staff until the police had to be called - how come I can go to a hospital in Romania and it's perfectly peaceful and incidents like this don't happen? The absolute garbage from these countries are setting up their criminal enterprises in the western nations because we are a soft touch.

Couple in a Cork reg. car drove into driveway. Hammering on door from 7p.m. to 10.00pm. Gardai were rung 5 times as person was afraid. Person's friend and her husband drove up from Wicklow to Dublin to help. Arrived at 9.55pm and car still in driveway. Couple also fearful and waited. Car left at 10.00. Gardai had arrived at 9.50. Person was terrified for 3hours.
