Nah brother you have it all wrong. A lot of people have to hit horrible bottoms in life that causes them to search for higher purpose. What would be hypocritical is if they “say” that they turned to God but they’re actions after doing so indicated otherwise. There’s nothing wrong or hypocritical about people looking for God after hitting bottoms in their life. We are capable to pivot and make changes as human beings and that’s what makes life so beautiful.
