Your making me want to dig mine out from the corner of the shed and see if I can get it going after its little swim 10 years ago.

The olny problem when ticking over, is it's not pumping the water through the motor !

The solution is not to leave it ticking over below a certain rev limit. There is no reason to idle a seagull that has no clutch. As soon as you pull the chord the prop is in motion.

I always thought when you close the throttle it should stop and the carb plate should be open for no chock and closed for chock if this helps :)

Yes that's correct 🙌🎣

At a pinch, you can run a Seagull for around a minute out of the water. So just for 'does it start' purposes. But an Otto bin is a useful (and easier) method to check for water pumping that dragging the motor down to the beach! Also, in shallow and looks like muddy water, you risk sucking mud up into the motor and clogging water channels.

next stop the silver century. Do you mix fuel at 50 to 1 ?
@LocalMarksFishing2 жыл бұрын
I have a silver century. Will upload the video for that one in the coming weeks. It's a 10/1 mix for this one and 25/1 for the silver century. 🙌🎣
