Best cover of this song i've ever heard. You did magnificent job playing all that polyphony and rhythms right. And you put your soul in it as well, which is the most important. I think its as close to ideal piano cover as it could get. However, original guitars arrangement has more sorrow in it and just connects with you on another level. This is kinda strange, since usually if you want to make someone cry you do a piano version of a song (any song ....xd)) One could argue that guitar has bigger melisma arsenal (hummer\pull, bend, slide, vibrato,...), but I have feeling that you could not top original arrangement even with violin. It is Voice of Chuck Schuldiner soul, and it speaks through electric guitar.
