When Al Kresta - founder of Ave Maria Radio and friend of the Dominican Sisters of Mary, Mother of the Eucharist - fell ill with an infection, one of his reporters stepped in to fill the gap during Kresta’s six month absence. That six-month assignment was the beginning of Nick Thomm’s 12-year career as Kresta’s producer.
In this documentary, Kresta and other contributors recount Thomm’s brain tumor diagnosis at the age of twenty-seven, and how he turned to his faith to carry him through the following fifteen years of trials.
What many would consider to be a devastating tragedy, Nick accepted with complete trust in the Lord. His wife Jennifer was by his side through chemotherapy, multiple surgeries, and eventually the loss of his voice and mobility. Their story brings to light the intersection of marriage, suffering, and loss.
