It's unclear as to why exactly those planets exploded after defeating the BBEG, intentionally or not her activities led to the destruction of those planets. Dark Aether was in a pocket dimension she collapsed that universe in on itself. Phaaze is a living planet. The list is likely to keep climbing.

@@Joe007_96 Dread is pretty powerful; but I think it's MP2 that puts the nails in the coffin; the dark beam is basically an antimatter gun, it doesn't matter how tough you are, or what you're made of, antimatter will react with it an annihilate it. Your only defence is to not get hit, or be able to redirect it with a magnetic field. Worse yet, even if Boba survives getting hit, the vast amount of radiation that is released on mater-antimatter annihilation guarantees he'd a dead-man walking, assuming it doesn't kill him instantly or even vaporize his flesh.

Seriously, prime 2 is too overlooked when it has probably the most OP arsenal she ever got, just besides the phase drift from returns which allows her to slow down time. Sure, getting the full abilities of a Metroid is OP as hell, and the power to generate Aeion on her own comes handy for the more OP abilities in returns, but if people think that's what it took to make a difference they seriously overlooked a lot of stuff

People really seem to not understand how DURABLE Samus is. She's had several hundred ton beasts stomp on her and it only drops her shield by about 50% of a single layer of shield. She has 16 layers. Several tons of force isn't even 5% of what you would need to destroy that suit. Not to mention that it's resistant to heat up to an including lava, radiation BEYOND gamma radiation, and mildly magic resistant. The claim that Boba Fett had the durability advantage in this fight is hilarious. At least they got the right person in the end.

It's based on the whip her otherwise rather useless emergency pistol gained in Smash. When Monty Oum animated Haloid, he treated the whip more as a lightsaber, and made Samus retain the boots of her Power Suit after losing the suit, whereupon they took the role of jet boots. This fight was made with the intent of honoring Monty Oum after his passing, so they nerfed Samus enough for Fett to destroy her suit, then gave her the jet boots and whip-saber Monty made up. Honoring Monty is also why there's a dance at the end of the video. Monty was an astonishingly good dancer who sometimes made dance animations amidst all his epic fight animations. Additionally, as a reference to original fight's ending, they gave Samus' pistol the Ice Beam function and I believe her cannon's standard Power Beam function so she could freeze Fett before blowing his head off. Samus never lost her suit in the first fight, which is why she was able to finish him this way back then.

She's durable enough to take multiple hits from antimatter weapons (Quadraxis' Annihilator Beam from Prime 2) and is immune to lava damage thanks to the Gravity Suit. Fett can't do anything like this. I totally get the thematic similarities between Samus and Boba Fett, but this is quite a stomp despite what the battle might indicate (granted I really enjoyed the battle but Samus was in her Power Suit for 10% of the fight's length and that's what lets her do all sorts of cool stuff).

That remark about Boba Fett being stronger also tilted me. Like you said, in Other M she throws in the air a lava fish bigger than any white shark, she rips with her bare hands the wings off of aliens the size of a human and throws them away with one single hand. And for those who want to ignore Other M, in the new Samus Returns, she freaking tackles to the ground Omega Metroids and punches the Metroid Queen so hard she jumps back. And her strength isn't because of the suit since in Zero Mission without the powersuit or jet-boots or any other fancy gadget, she could make a vertical jump twice her height (about 4m) without a running start, imagine the leg-strength needed for a jump like that.

This fight should've been over as soon as Samus lost her power suit... Samus' paralyzer is Metroid canon is that, A PARALYZER. It doesn't transform into a whip like in Smash Bros. All of those abilities were created by Sakurai to give her a full move-set. More realistically, Boba would've had a challenge trying to figure out how to destroy her power suit. I should add that no where in Disney SW canon does Boba use a lightsaber.

Well to answer a question on a lot of people's minds: "How did Samus get a lightsaber?" Answer: It's her laser whip. In the interview the animator said it was difficult to animate so he went with the sword style. And if you look at the original trailer for Brawl, it could stand up straight like a lightsaber, meaning Samus could possibly alter the properties of her weapon. Either way this has no impact on the results. As much as you want to nitpick the animation that's NOT what determines the winner here.

She doesn't have half her arsenal in this battle while Boba has literally everything, canonical or otherwise. If anything they were extremely generous to Boba for making it as close as it was. Samus's varia suit wouldn't have even broken apart if this was trying to be accurate (though keep in mind this is also an homage to Monty Oum's animation "Haloid" which is why Samus fights in Zero Suit).

I'm squarely in Team Samus here, and even I had some reservations about this. 1) Power Suit's upgrades don't carry over to the Zero Suit. The Paralyzer would not have properties of the Ice Beam. 2) Beam Whip = Beam Sword? Are those the same weapon now? 3) Would Samus have studied swordplay under the Chozo? We've never seen evidence that they (or any civilization in Metroid canon) use swords for much. Even so, would her training be the equal of Fett's Jedi knowledge? I doubt it.

1) The Varia suit would never have even been destroyed. Nothing Fett has is powerful enough to do so. 2) Irrelevant 3) Yes, she would have. She was trained as a WARRIOR. More than likely with almost all types of weaponry. Swords included. Just because there is no evidence of swords doesnt mean there werent any. When lazers and bombs are in use swords dont have much use at all. Also, Fett is NOT a Jedi, therefore his knowledge is just that. Knowledge. He would only be able to wield a regular sword, much less a lightsaber, as effectively has he had been trained to.

Samus may have decided to deactivate it here if several of its major functions were compromised. Only vulnerable to the Matrix of Leadership and even when he was destroyed he either lived as a disembodied head in the g1 show or collapsed into a Black hole known as the Unicron singularity, which was even more dangerous. Jacob Meagher Galactus is the remains of an older universe. His power-levels seem to fluctuate a ton, but at top power-levels he is a tier below multiversal gods, as the aspect of destruction in the universe, so practically a god. So, the most powerful Galactus would tie or beat any of the Transformer characters (that I know of, including Unicron), but most forms of Galactus, especially weakened/hungry forms would lose. It is a silly character in my opinion but then so is Unicron.

Jeremiah Naugle From what I dug up in the comment section, it’s more of an animation issue, less than a weapon issue. I believe the animators intended to animate Samus’ whip, but the scrapped whip animation looked too wonky and troublesome to animate at the time. So they opted for the lightsaber fault. I can see Samus wielding a beam sword in her already busted arsenal, although she wouldn’t honestly need it.

Since this episode was a tribute to the late Monty Oum, this lightsaber fight may also be a throwback to one of Oum's earlier animations called 'Haloid', where Samus also used a lightsaber.

Why do I bother trying to read the comments on these videos? The fans of the loser always come out in full force for one reason or another. And I am sick of hearing people bitch about the animation for any inconsistencies. The battle at the end, is for fun, not the deciding factor, it is meant to display the information they talked about. Yes Samus' stun pistol can't become a lightsaber or use the ice beam. The lightsaber is having fun, and who says it can't, its capable of projecting an energy whip that doesn't seem to have a limit of use so projecting that same energy into a blade is feasible at least. The ice beam was there to show off that she has it, not saying her pistol can use it. People are also forgetting that they even left some of her equipment out, plasma beam, wave beam, super missile and all it's variants to name the most practical. There's also an important factor, under no circumstance would Fett be able to force Samus out of the Varia Suit, she is capable of rebooting it's systems internally and has taken worse damage than a grenade and remained in tact, hell it has taken multiple of her own power bombs and shrugged off the damage (as seen by the power bomb guardian in Prime 2). Samus is the better hunter, she's faster, has further advanced technology and is capable of dealing similar if not more damage than Fett can. She has taken down far more dangerous foes again and again.

Actually her pistol is able to go lightsaber mode as showcased in previews for Brawl, but other than that it was just cool effects used to tribute the remastered death battle for the death of Monty Oum, who used the look they used for Samus in one of his videos before he died.

Hold on, correction here: The Fusion Suit itself isn't what allows Samus to absorb X Parasites, as it's what remained after parts of Samus's Power Suit needed to be surgically removed. It's called the Fusion Suit because it's a FUSION of her Zero Suit and Power Suit. A halfway state between the two. The ability to absorb X Parasites was (spoilers below) an ability innate to Samus herself, as she was given Metroid DNA. She is the last Metroid.

For a big season finale-ish episode, you should pit Arthas Menethil (Lich King from World of Warcraft) AND his whole army against Sauron (Lord of the Rings) and HIS whole army. They all have comparable units. Death Knights vs Nazgul, Ice Wyrms vs the Dragon things (it's 3am for me right now so bear with me), Ghouls vs Orcs, Abominations vs Trolls, etc. I think it could work and would be an amazing finale to see who is most suited to be the true evil conqueror.

Almost 5 years old and this remastered fight is still to this day my favorite fight. Honestly I recommend more remastered battles. I mean people gave the idea of this battle a lot of hell before it's released, but when they saw just how much work was put into the choreography, many people had to shut up and just enjoy the battle. Sure we still got dislikes for getting a remaster over a brand new fight, but many battles we have now, I'd LOVE to see be reanimated and redone better than their original battles. I watch this fight often, just because it was simply stunning. Maybe to avoid getting people upset, 1 remaster Per Season?
