Megamind legit solo'd the main villian of the 2nd half of the movie. Gru is pretty impressive as he can dodge missilies, and fight sharks with no problem. But megamind does win.

When it comes to physical stats, Gru takes it. He's faster, stronger, and more durable. Megamind has better tech, though. He's got more options to win this fight (turn him into a cube, use the sun death ray, etc.), so my vote is on Megamind. Megamind has also kept up with a bloodthristy Tighten, who is stronger than all of the major villians from the Despicable Me franchise in my opinion.

Megamind's D-Ray has different modes as well. The death ray would instantly kill gru. Megamind also can disguise as anything and anyone and hide from gru if he needs to. While gru's heist suit has camo, gru isn't always wearing it where megamind is always wearing his watch. Megamind's robots can be summons from anywhere at anytime and provide him with almost any of his tech, including the suit that matches all of the powers of Metro man and his strength. Gru won't be able to summon his minions quickly, and even if they could, they wouldn't be much help. Gru can avoid missiles, but he isn't light speed, which means Megamind's laser eyes he has in his superman suit would fry gru. Megamind is also much smarter and a faster thinker than gru. He also has better tech and weapons. Megamind wins.

@Broma cibernética hey buddy here's how it goes. Strength does to gru. He one shot a shark which no regular human can do while megamind never shown anything beyond human level Speed. Hard to say. Gru can dodge missiles while megamind can go against characters like titan and metro man who are massively hypersonic to massively faster than light and yeah he's obviously no where near as fast as them he can avoid their attacks for awhile. So I say this is a tie or it goes to megamind Durability. Hard to say. Yeah gru survive those missiles but the hole it made doesn't look bigger than a regular house while megamind survive being close to a huge gasoline explosion, getting crushed by a giant robot and many heavy punches from titan (who can lift and throw skyscrapers with ease). So physically neither can put down the other and that leaves weapons. With The weapons both normally carry lets see how they face up. Gru has his freeze ray and fire ball gun. I don't the fire ball gun putting down megamind, the damage that it did doesn't look strong enough. His freeze ray can end the fight but it's not a full guarantee because the ice can be broken just by falling over. Megamind has his de-gun which has many different setting but the main win we see him use in dehydration which turns it's victims into a dehydrated cube that can only turn back to normal with contact with water. So one shot of this and it over. In the end this will be close but I give the win to megamind

Gruu can freeze a guy. Megamind can turn you into a cube. Megamind's minions have metal jaws, can fly and he has enough to project (not with holograms but with just the light up eyes of his bots) his head in the sky to 100 times its actual scale. Mega mind has been tussling with a superman level hero since he was in kindergarten. Even taking into account that he's a complete doof, he still had minion who although just as much a doof, still notices flaws in his plans. Megamind also was able to reverse engineer a super power serum capable of giving a person superman level powers, and btw he seemed to still have it by the end of the movie. Gruu shrunk the moon with a gun he didn't even build. It's megamind all the way

I think Megamind can improvise better on the spot, Gru needs the "emotional" buffs most of the time as well as rely on other's inventions. (megamind can make his own inventions for each situation). 100% would like a better analysis/discussion of these two and their abilities (some of the megamind stuff was a little too simplified or ommitted some key details)

It’s interesting. Megamind really needs his own backup to fight. He keeps getting captured and his Minion to get out of hail or even realize about the invisible car. Heck he spent a lot of the Titan fight to trick him that he’s not megamind/and then only won by removing his powers. If Titan has the full strength then he would have slow motion walk to MM and kill him. MM does have the brains though. His tech building is on point by far. Coming up with his weapons on they fly is pretty nice.

I believe mega mind wins this one Gru doesn’t make his own weapons he relies on his minions and his dr while it’s assumed mega mind creates his own machine since as a young boy he created a disinter grading gun ( forgot the name but its the gun that turns you into a blue cube). All mega mind has to do is hit gru once and it’s over. The only thing gru has for him is his fighting moves developed from being a villain and secretary spy. But remember mega mind has a watch that can not only change his disguise but also give him the powers of whoever he transformed to.

In the metal battle? Gru. Megamind never wins anything until the end of the first movie. Gru is a more seasoned more balanced mentally than Megamind.
