And that's the way I like that version. Why would a genetically modified spider give Spider-Man everything except the ability to form webs on his own? You may argue that spiders shoot webs from their rears, which would be backward if a human were to do the same, but this is superhero fiction. Webbing can be shot from whatever part of the skin Spiderman wants.

Well according to Sam raimi the reason for that is because it would not be logical for a high schooler to have equipment like that with the budget of a poor person in his late teens to early twenties, with limited technology I mean you could away with it, in an animated television, but not in a live action movie, specially when it's a spider man who is doesn't work with other/richer heroes or even knows of them.

The Rami Trilogy had th best characters overall. In the other movies, the side characters can be described in a few sentences. But Rami's heros and villans are unique. In my opinion, the MCU suffers from writting. The actors are amazing, but their characteristics aren't that good. Well, they're good, but they're 1 sided characters, except for Spider-Man himself.

Andrews Spiderman had the best quips and action scenes. He’d think and react on the fly. His swinging is far superior. They did him a great disservice in this debate. I was rewatching some death battle videos and decided to watch the OG Goku vs Superman and an idea popped into my mind. They constantly say in both fights with Superman that he is as strong as he needs to be and his limit is the sun itself and has no limits. So a good fight for Superman would be Saitama as his character is set up as the same thing in his story. The only problem with this battle is analyzing Saitama as his full power has to be scaled using the author statement and the narrative instead of the normal feats = power, since Saitama doesn't try that much in the series.

@@li-limandragon9287 I mean yeah he's a teenager, but it was a little jarring from him going from civil war taking on both falcon and winter soldier while still goofing around, to almost losing to a guy with a single "shock" glove and bank robbers with some high tech equipment. Toby Maguire's spiderman a least had a montage of him stopping crime, in Tom's we get a nice montage of him helping people which is nice, not saying that the film's have to be the same. I know he doesn't try to hurt people but when he does better in Avenger movies then his own it's a little disappointing to watch. I really like Far from home don't get me wrong that's one of my favorite spider-man movie's it's just that Home coming wasn't my favorite when I first saw it.

That Andrew Garfield opening statement was pretty accurate but a few things were wrong. The portrayal of Peter Parker being a douchebag who is very selfish IS from the comics. In both the Ultimate comics (which was the main influence) and 616 comics, Peter was that nerdy, hotheaded kid who resented the people around him and had to learn to be a better person. Peter Parker in the comics doesn't become a full blown vigilante out for revenge, but he does become a vigilante to hunt down his Uncle's killer for revenge. And it was under different circumstances that made them contrastly different such as Peter knowing who killed his Uncle in TASM opposed to Peter in the comics just knowing where the killer was right after the incident which gave him a quick resolvement. I think people kinda blurr out the details in the comics when it comes to TASM because TASM was its own version of the origin story with influence from the comics.

There’s this one scene in The Amazing Spider-Man that I always like and most people overlook this scene and don’t pay attention to it. But when Peter went to visit Gwen at her house the father to son’s respected him highly I thought they was gonna be Spider-Man fan boys but no instead they look at their father as an true hero for being a cop and didn’t care much for Spider-Man at all when Peter and their father had that argument that really strike me in an impressive way! Now this is my personal “ Fan Fiction “ ! My fan fiction being what if the oldest boy grew up hating Peter cause he knew that Spider-Man got both his father and older sister killed ? U may ask well how would he know that Peter is Spider-Man well that’s easy cause he found serval of Gwen diaries and like anyone that has a diary rather teen or adult women they always write down their life and personal experiences so clearly she wrote down the day her and Peter got together and timed she found out he was Spider-Man and the times they shared also her fathers death even tho it wasn’t peter’s fault but still her father died trying to help Peter/Spider-Man ! Now of course he sees all this after Gwens death after they go through gwens room or whatever but this cause a hatred for Peter he grows up wanting revenge he also has an interest in science like his sister did so he becomes this universe version of the shocker he created these shock wave gloves to try and kill Peter once he becomes an young adult ! But what do y’all think would that interesting ? And y’all I don’t just mean the Death Battle cast I mean anyone that may read this comment ! Do you agree or disagree I’m open to any discussion !

Here are some thoughts I had after watching a few Nostalgia Critic videos discussing the "Spider-Man" movies by Sam Raimi and Mark Web. 1. If Maguire played Peter Parker in a movie where Garfield played Spider-Man, would it give fans everything they want? It would put each of them in the side of Spider-Man that apparently meshed better with their performances. The drastic difference in behavior could help explain in-universe how Peter protects his secret identity while also feeding into the dichotomy of "Spider" vs "Man". 2. The 3rd Raimi film and the 2nd Web film apparently shared multiple criticisms applied to them. Each had Harry Osborn fight for screen time by sharing the antagonist slot with 2 other characters. One got barely any screen time. Each film had Peter act out of character in ways that felt less believable than what was needed. But one of the big differences I noted based on the videos I watched is that "The Amazing Spider-Man 2", as was the case with multiple other movies, had its work as an individual movie undermined by higher ups that were too caught up in setting up later movies for an expanded universe. 3. From what I've heard, the Sam Raimi movie version of Mary Jane Watson was infamous for getting less focus on her own character than her relationship with Peter Parker. That sounds eerily similar to a complaint I heard about her comic counterpart in the lead-up to "One More Day". A different video I watched a while back claimed that someone working on Spider-Man comics at the time complained that she did nothing but worry about Peter. And yet oddly enough that complaint was apparently echoed by someone in a position to change it. As in, they could've given her more to do, but they didn't for whatever reason. And it didn't help that a number of comics during that time, such as during the Clone Saga, repeatedly cut back to that scenario with her going through the same motions.

By the time that did happen, I had already locked onto his videos as some of the VERY few I actually watch. And even then, I don't watch the entire playlist. Both Spiderman 3 and Tasm 2 are equally bad but, but andrew Garfield i swear gets a bad rep just because people wanted tobey then. Tasm 1 was a masterpiece of a spiderman film until the internet suddenly decided it wasn't. I was there and i felt bad for garfield. Andrew Garfield said ' I always have to get told that nah mate you didn't do the role quite as well as previously, so I'm happy to be a just hardcore spiderman fan'. The entire story arc from peter discovering his powers, learning about his pasts and facing the struggles and sacrifices he has to make just for others to finally become spiderman is a heart touching one. It sucks that Marc Webb wasn't given the same freedom like Sam Raimi because i certainly believe he would done a great job with it. The edgier aspect of tasm fits the life of spiderman as a more serious, grounded and realistic take.

The different Spider-men all do a part of the character the best but I don't think one has ever gotten the full picture perfectly. Tobey Spider-Man got the bullied nerd Peter Parker aspect and the Uncle Ben angle great. But he just wasn't funny other than unintentionally. He didn't crack jokes, nothing. And he didn't really display Peter Parker's intelligence either. Garfield Spider-Man wasn't at all the bullied nerd that traditional Parker is. He was a skateboarding sorta cool kid. But he displayed the intelligence of Peter Parker well with his web shooters and the ingenuity of those and his suit. He also gets closer on the quips and jokes, but sometimes comes across as a bit mean-spirited. And going back on his promise to Gwen's dead dad kinda makes him look like a bad person. Holland Spider-Man is the funniest of the three, and he displays Peter's intelligence well also, but in different ways from Garfield Spider-Man. However he does take a lot of character queues from Miles Morales, being more of a rookie hero under the wing of veteran heroes - namely Stark - trying to come into his own. A bit of a departure from what most would've expected from Spider-Man.

His jokes always seemed stunted though. Unnatural. For example, "It's you who's out, Gobby. Out of your mind." Also honestly it doesn't take a rocket scientist to see that Octavius' experiment goes out of control. And it's not the same kind of show of ingenuity as Garfield's Peter Parker's inventiveness with creating the web shooters and different variations of web fluid for example

Can you do a Deku vs Rock Lee episode? They are both very cool anime characters who have many similarities (I’ve noticed that the characters usually have something in common). They both have green clothing/hair and we’re both powerless before a father figure with the word “might” in their name showed up and taught them to have immense strength.
