Lets be honest, that 2 Forrest goals were blunders and wouldn't happen again if they played another 100 games. United dominated that game and dominated Spurs in the first half but failed to score. Some of what you lot are saying here is quite shocking. To say United needs to sort their fullbacks out is wild to me. Luke Shaw has been one of the best left backs in world football recently. And AWB is one of the best 1on1 defenders in the game and has been vastly improving other his other aspects of the game. Also the hate on Anthony is weird too. I know he hasn’t lived up to his 100m price tag but that’s not his fault, and he has actually brought a really good defensive work rate so far this season, especially given his penchant for the dramatic. That aside, you all touched on it, but there is a ROT at Manchester United and it’s coming from the owners, but also from its fan base. The vitriol and entitlement from some of the fans is maddening. And I think that takes its toll on the players. Not to mention the sheer fact that they play for Manchester United, one of the most scrutinized clubs in Europe. Also, the greed of the glazers I think is making it harder to buy the players that Ten Hag wants. Because they refuse to take lower prices for the players we want to sell which means we can’t buy all the players that we want. McTominay was supposed to raise funds for Amarabat. Maguire for a different CB. I think if ten hag gets some of those other players, the signings that he’s made so far make a lot more sense.

This midfield 3 not working narrative is coming on too strong considering we are 3 games into the season. Give it time. People talk about the balance of the midfield, I am not convinced. Last year , surprisingly after some of the hammerings we took, we still had one of the best defences in the league - aided by Casemiro. Contrary, we struggled to score goals. Mount was defo brought in to provide a more attacking threat and get into the box. It is all just collapsing at the moment because Casemiro isnt performing at his best, but I guarantee it wont last long. When he is on it, this whole narrative around the midfield will change because Casemiro can definitely do the job of 2 people, hence why an extra attacking midfielder in Mount isnt "unbalanced".
