Never heard so many deluded takes in my life, Arsenal fans are something else. Their first goal shouldn't have stood since Oliver pulled Walker out of position and then blew his whistle without letting Walker return, allowing Arsenal to immediately exploit the space he left behind. Trossard barged into Bernardo from behind without any intention of playing the ball WHILE on a yellow, that's a textbook second yellow lmao. That's without even talking about booting the ball away after the whistle which is another obvious yellow. Don't know what planet some of you are living on man

The ball was in play for so long in the second half because Arsenal just sat there. When they did have the chance they all mysteriously got cramp, even though they basically camped their own box and didn't move for 45mins. They did what they had to do so fair enough, but it's highly likely they'd have played the second half like this regardless of the sending off. They still seem to have too much respect for City. It was pure Mourinho.

If Arsenal won at the Etihad last season they wouldn’t have been level on points they’d be one point clear of City (Arsenal plus two points, City minus one). Also if Arsenal had one at the Etihad the season before they also would have won the league as the six point swing flips the five point gap they finished with.

Don't get the idea that City are physically scared of Arsenal. He compared Rice to Bernardo etc but you could also compare Saka or Trossard to any of Gvardiol, Stones, Akanji, Dias, Rodri, etc both teams are predominantly big sides with a couple of smaller players, Peps city is nothing like Peps Barca in terms of height

So contradictory. You guys can’t ask for consistent refereeing and also want them to use common sense. The only way to be consistent is to apply the exact letter of the law every time. Not worrying about ruining a game.

Because comment sense is subjective and that is what leads to the lack of consistency. I would rather have strict rules which are followed every single time even if that means initially some players being sent off for petulance. The players would wise up

BUT you can’t have common sense involved because each ref has a different perception on what common sense would dictate. The only way to be 100% consistent is to book every player that kicks away the ball, every time a player acts with dissent etc

At that point it doesn’t even matter whether it’s a pass or clearance, he’s already in the motion of kicking it. Your brain can’t hear a whistle, react to it, and then pull out mid-kick in case a ref is feeling card happy.
