I think Jose’s next step is Portugal national team for World Cup 2026 and Euros 2028 but I think club wise - Serie A: Napoli, Inter Milan, a return to Roma in the long run isn’t impossible. Bundesliga: is a massive push - but it would be one or two years for Bayern while Bayern are waiting for someone like Klopp, Nagelsmann, or Pep again. Ligue 1 - PSG post-Mbappe era would be his last big chance with a top team. Other jobs: A last hooray with Porto and maybe even a chance with a MLS Club like Inter Miami or LA Galaxy. I also think he could be the manager for the USMT for 2026 World Cup if Portugal isn’t possible but I think he’d probably take a MLS with the USMT. I think other than that - that’s it. Sadly I can’t see Mourinho returning to the PL or La Liga ever again unless it’s a caretaker role at Real Madrid or Chelsea.

Okay HOW is this channel still only at 17k subs? This content is better than FD. If the old FD guys are willing to continue helping out on this channel until Zac gets big enough that he could potentially offer 'fees' for appearances for them then it's basically the FD we all knew and loved. Zac is such a fun and honest person (until he starts talking about Chelsea) but that's true of basically all fans.
@reverendroar8 ай бұрын
I honestly think Southgate is great at international level but at club he doesn’t have the same level for a PL club. Maybe he would manage Crystal Palace or Middlesbrough but I can see him managing in the MLS or being a journeyman going around fringe leagues like MLS, A-League, J-League, Eredivise, Pro-League while managing national teams like Canada, Australia, New Zealand and maybe even USMT post-2026

I think others like Gerrard, Lampard and Rooney need to move out of the limelight and build their philosophy like Xavi needs to now. Maybe moving to Pro-league, Eredivise, and Ligue 1. I would personally move to the MLS, J-league and K-league because they’re developing to leagues which value former players becoming managers and experimenting with their philosophies/ideas. They’re also becoming leagues that are turning out youth talent that are destined to be the next generation of stars that will be in Europe in a decades time.

Poch is a bad manager for the times we are in. Our best moments are in transition yet we are set up to play a possession style lol. Xavi will return to Barca once the financial troubles are gone. I can see him become a great Spain manager- like the future Luis Enrique. But I think for now - Xavi now needs to be going to teams that helps builds his philosophy like Ajax (which would be great to be at right now as they need a new Cruyff-like manager).

Saying Tuchel is a significant upgrade on Xavi is nuts. Has he achieved more sure, but in Xavi’s short managerial career he has a Spanish supercopa, La Liga title, and DRAGGED Barça from 9th to 2nd in his first like six months at the club. He has tactically outclassed most top managers he’s come up against, his system creates a million chances. Attackers just weren’t finishing them earlier this season. Great manager bringing in young talents from our academy. Tuchel would come in and destroy this young team fr

I'm not even sure he makes the bench for the 5 teams above Utd, let alone start him. Just thinking of the team directly above Utd and Spurs, have Maddison Bissouma and Sarr usually starting at the moment with Bentancur and Hojbjerg on the bench and Skipp left out of the squad. He'd get in ahead of Skipp, but none of the others. Same for Liverpool, Man City and Aresnal, He's obviously going to be good as he's starting at 18 for a team in the top 6 in the PL and has just been called up for England, bit that's all the guy was saying in the video, hes good for 18 and will probably go on to be very good/great, but that doesn't mean he's better than what a lot of teams have on their bench now
@ccogdill1520289 ай бұрын
@mauddib1761 he 100% gets in ahead of Sarr for Spurs. Arteta 100% puts him next to Rice in place of whatever combination of Jorginho or Havertz he's been deploying. He gets in ahead of Endo for Liverpool. Watch the matches and the effortlessness with which he plays. It's other worldly for an 18 year old and beyond most midfielders even on the highest level.

People just don't want to actually listen to ETH. He has said multiple times he doesn't want to ideally defend in a low block. The players he has had available can only defend in a low block. The athletic literally did a whole piece on it recently and said how he was visibly angry on the touchline when he told his defenders to close the gap and push higher and they didn't and he lost his shit. People have made their mind up on ETH and are just lazy or don't care to actually look into it. Shame really
