Should we need a new bus package with upcoming depots? There is no right or wrong answer to this question, but if any packages are getting way too stacked, or routes are amended out of the primary package, then yes, maybe a new depot is needed to better manage bus operations. It does take time before bus ops can transition to new depots, and considering the lack of parking room at certain interchanges and depots, it does make sense to have some "intermediary" (for lack of a better term) lots where buses can park, mainly spare buses or buses not yet due for a maintenance check. This was what happened with the temporary Changi Bus Park, where buses operating on routes in Tampines (such as 31 or 292) parked, while still attached to Bedok North Depot for maintenance purposes. Once Loyang Depot became operational, Pasir Ris based bus ops shifted over to Loyang, while the Tampines based buses returned to Bedok North after Changi Bus Park was closed. I can see the upcoming Simpang Yishun Depot play a similar role, housing some Yishun routes from Mandai or Seletar until one of these depots is slated to be closed, and then expanding the depot to accommodate the incoming ops. Anyway, I have given my two cents, so take it as you will.

Simpang Yishun is likely for SBW-Yishun . Mandai likely for Woodlands Region because Mandai Depot is not far away from Woodlands Region . Likely Ulu Pandan Depot is going stay there and switch to Clementi Region

Nice Video! The question of having new bus packages with upcoming new bus depots does not have a straightforward answer. It largely depends on the planning by the authorities and predicting their decisions can be challenging. The authorities may continually adjust their plans to ensure sufficient space for parking, maintenance and facilities for bus operators. It would be beneficial if the new depots are fully utilised since they are typically more efficient than older ones. With newer depots, there might be opportunities to house more bus services and possibly accommodate multiple bus operators within a single depot for different bus packages. However, this is still uncertain and something we are all curious about. Ultimately, the planning is in the hands of the authorities. It is hoped that they will plan effectively to benefit themselves, bus operators and commuters. Poor planning could lead to operational challenges for bus operators and inconvenience for commuters which is an outcome we all want to avoid.

Thx for having my proposal LOL Talking about bus depot, do we really need more bus depots? The answer is depends. Some bus depot will be replace the current depot such as Ang Mo Kio and Loyang, while the others are unknown or whether a new region/package. If some bus depots are no longer under transport facilities, means it's most likely replaced by the newer bus depot. So far, Bedok North and Ang Mo Kio, along with Woodlands (sort of) are under transport facilities, while the rest are under industrial and reserve site. As much as I want the reallocation to be perfect, hopefully it will make a better region again. Speaking of bus package, if you look at Bukit Timah, I supposed this will be a new package/region (yes my suggestion). So for this, it will be great if this one will become a new package. But I will not talk about that anyway cuz right now, LTA have plans to make a new bus depot and we do have the new bus depot as of now such as Tengah, Sungei Serangoon, Simpang Yushun and Pasir Panjang. So I may or may not know rather the LTA will make bus depot again (if it meant for Woodlands and Ang Mo Kio). But again, it depends on how many bus depot will they need
