when people actually knew how to sing , i was a little boy when Debbie was doing her thing but i have these vivid memories of hearing this song on the radio, coincidently i was at Albertson's on friday and this song started to play and it brought childhood flashbacks.

Those were the days. Great music and movies. No racism, pandemic or shutdown talk. We didn't have politics in everything. Everyone just got along together. That's why what's going on now doesn't make any sense to me. I'm glad I lived through the 80's and 90's.

I couldn't agree more! I was just thinking, you can't find anything like this anymore. At 18, she wrote, composed and performed her own songs. She also plays the piano, Her voice (and that of her backup singers) is completely unaltered (other than sound levels). She also had ACTUAL musicians. If you've seen this entire concert you may have noticed many of them jumping from 1 instrament to another throughout! All this was relatively common in the 80's, unheard of in 2012. "Music" is a lost art!

Let's see them write a song that would get as far as getting recorded. Then again, if they did, Debbie got there first more than 20 years ago and made Billboard #1. At 17 she is the youngest ever to record, compose, and produce a #1 song, which has not been surpassed even up to now.

It's funny how the few people who say they don't like DG are here watching this video and even taking the time to comment about it. Why would you watch a video you don't like when you *know* you don't like it? Truth is some people, and I use the term *people* loosely here, just like to argue, complain, and troll video's in general. On another note, DG was in her hey-day here and she really knew how put on a GREAT show without wearing next-to-nothing and using electronic foolery to sound good.

@Chesneyproductions1 I wont argue that she was one of the greatest bands EVER but I would agree that they were at least "musicians"...unlike what we hear today. Todays definition of a musician is someone who uses computers to "replicate" music, instraments and quality voices. And its scary how much sex defines a good group anymore. Christina Agulara has a wonderful voice, can dance and she does write alot of her songs..but people only go to her shows to she how provacative it is! Its sad!

@JosephKuby I think I agree. The song starts with a chorus and I didn't know if that counted. So I just wanted to clarify which part: "I know watcha thinking. I see it in your eyes. You wanna give our love another tryyyyyyyyy. I'm-so-glad-you-realized-I-can't. . ." beginning @ 3:38? or "Shake it. . . Your love. . . Can't shake. . . Just can't shake your love. . . Ohhhhh. . ." beginning @ 4:09? I'm guessing the 'bridge' begins at 3:38, and the 4:09 part ends with the song's 'breakdown.'

@gdawn6812 I am aware that she posed for Playboy. A womans nudity is NOT whorish in and of itself. In fact, womens beauty has been celebrated and admired for hundreds of years. That photo shoot was done AFTER she was filling stadiums with 13yr old girls and it was done rather tastefully! I should also point out that you saw NONE of that stuff in her stage act. Where as with most hip hop singers thats ALL you see on stage because they need to distract from their lack of talent!

I like girls with bangs. Bangs are cute. What I don’t understand is how a minor could tour like that with a band during the school year, unless they were educated in a different way without going to a school building. I spent all of the 80’s in school, 1980-1992.
@alangillman89192 жыл бұрын
The tour was in July-Spet. 1988, she was graduated then. She went to a regular high school. Although she didn't have much time for school, her overall average was 91. She was a smart girl. ❤
