The Debbie Reynolds's movie "Singin' nun" touches my heart 'til today. Debbie was absolutely great as Sister Ann! I love the music and Debbie reminds me to a further very good friend of mine... Nicole Knothe, God bless you!

I fell in love with this movie the first time I saw it on TV as a child. It was several years after it had come out and I could not find the soundtrack anywhere. One day I found the single Dominque by The Singing Nun who I assumed was Debbie Reynolds. I couldn't believe it when I put it on the record player and it was in French! I still loved it. It's so good to hear these songs again.

Me too, I found the french! I can't find the soundtrack in any of the music tools (itunes, spotify, amazon music). I ended up buying the movie from Amazon :D. My mom had the vinyl record of the soundtrack when I was a kid. My favorite is the "I'd like to be" but love them all! Thanks @homhable for putting this playlist together.

@@jppatrimonio I looked for the soundtrack for years and couldn't find it. I finally bought the vinyl record on ebay and it's great. It was in perfect condition and was pretty reasonable.

Thanks for posting this. Haven't watched this is 40 years, but I remember it so well. Beautiful performance by Debbie Reynolds. Old fashioned, perhaps, but this movie is full of heart. Very loosely based on the real life Singing Nun, who had much tragedy befall her.

My mother would play music as we did our Saturday chores. I always requested this album. It is now sitting on my shelf. (My brother's replaced the "Dominique" with "Moni-nique"! 🎶)

What a beautiful woman with a beautiful voice, I love the Dominique song , a soldier of the Lord, the gospel is his sword, I only listened to it about fifteen times in a row, the Lord above truly knows how to create pure beauty in women and song, all praise be Jesus Christ ✝️🙏☘️🕊️

Who doesn't like this music and this movie?! Dominique, Brother John, Adele the Spanish guitar. Sadly, the real singing nun left her convent, found life very difficult and committed suicide by a drug overdose. There are happy stories and there are sad stories. This music and movie brought lots of happiness.

I like much about this group of songs, especially the part beginning at 09:34 (the "Dominique" song)! Thanks for posting. Also, "Brother John" starts at 07:18 , for those who might enjoy this song in particular. Excellent compilation.

When Hollywood and the Stars were truly stars that shown so brightly.....Where these entertainers tried to take their fans away from reality and the hardships of their menial lives, and their rewards were the grateful looks on the faces of their fans......Alas today 2022 Hollywood and their stars are so much dimmer today.....

Brother John There’s a smile on your face, Brother John, There’s a smile upon your face, Brother John. When there’s smile upon your face, Then the world’s a happy place, Won’t you smile for us all, Brother John? Brother John, Brother John, When there’s smile upon your face, Then the world’s a happy place, Won’t you smile for us all, Brother John? When you wear a gloomy frown, Brother John, And when you wear a gloomy frown, Brother John, When you wear a gloomy frown, Then the world comes tumbling down, Won’t you smile for us all, Brother John? Brother John, Brother John, When you wear a gloomy frown, Then the world comes tumbling down, When there’s smile upon your face, Then the world’s a happy place, Won’t you smile for us all, Brother John? Brother John, Brother John, And when your heart is full of love, There’s a blessing from above, When you wear a gloomy frown, Then the world comes tumbling down, When there’s smile upon your face, Then the world’s a happy place, Won’t you smile for us all, Brother John?

I'd like to be just like the wind, singing everywhere I'd like to be just like the wind dancing everywhere Like the wind that praises the Lord Like the wind I'd like to be like the white cloud, Fluffy in the sky I'd like to be like the white cloud In the sun Like the cloud that seaches for the Lord Facing You.... I'd like to be like the flame from a wood fire I'd like to be like the flame from a wood fire Just like the flame that rises, Lord Dancing for You I'd like to be like a guitar A singing heart I'd like to be like a quitar A vibrant heart Like a guitar that You fill with the strength Of Your song
