Even aside from the entertainment of watching the catches, the underwater footage is really educational for winter fish habits...the way they kept cruising through really seemed to dispel the traditional thinking that cold water bass just sit with their belly parked on the bottom.

I dont really think this dispels that thinking of bass sit in the winter. The bigger bass are still going to be sitting. All he caught were dinks which are probably 1-3 years old and still inexperienced under the ice.

I've got to get one of those air fryers!!! I love fish but I don't like all the grease when frying them. I know I'll probably get a lot of hate but I would have kept some of those larger bass to eat. We do it all the time. They are mighty tasty!!!

I have a feeling them little gulp minnows would kill it. You did really good for yourself you caught quite a few fish. Usually the winter is the only time I fish the gulp minnows but they really work good.

Ok Debo...1) are you sure you didn't keep catching the same bass?(Lol all same size) 2) you're gonna be in trouble for calling wifey "the old lady" 3) air fryers are a great way to cook, I've been using mine for 2 yrs and love it. Any way, good ice day, you caught on a good pattern. When I lived back home in Buffalo we went all the time but mostly yellow perch. Sometimes a walleye or bass or northern pike.

Man- you guys are dedicated I'll give you that. I tried to go in the snow a couple days ago- I live in Alabama so it never snows here- but it did a couple days ago- 2 whole inches. Anyway- yeah I tried to fish in it but, my hands went numb, the bass kept tearing all my plastics in half, I couldn't get a hook in them- so I pussed out and went home. No way I would make it ice fishing- I hate the cold.

we have trout marsh area with a lake in south jersey that's freezing up it would be cool to try getting to middle of lake cause that where that at the lake isn't deep neither which is why I think its freezing an its not really that cold out an its also in a natural spring so pretty nice water saw a crawfish bitten in half in the sand was pretty interesting to see what the fish are eating in the lakes near me
