Having worked in auto body in the past, I can say that this guy from Ontario Truck Rebuild is an absolute proper metal and body guy... Most people would just have shot some rust converter on that inner rocker, slapped on the cab corners and call it a day. The fact that he took the time to do as good a job as the outside, on a part that no one will see tells you a lot!!!👌

Let me give you a tip on how to treat that older body. Get some automatic transmission fluid and at least a 16 oz spray bottle. Put 10 oz of transmission fluid, about 5 oz of PB Blaster add 1 oz of Dawn dish detergent and mix it up and then spray all of the inside areas of the sides of the bed everywhere that rust tends to show up on the body of the truck. Inside the fender Wells anywhere there's a crimp line. Inside the bottoms of the doors. Drill a couple of holes into the rocker panel at the door thresholds and put several oz in each of the holes and then plug the holes. It will keep rust from growing on that for a long time even in places where they use salt, I'm from Detroit and I've learned some of these things over the decades that I have been working on vehicles.

I honestly cant wait to see your data from this project. I have a 1995 Dodge 3500 4x4 with a v10 nv4500 combination. About 9000lbs with the flat deck and 300 liters of fuel on board. It gets 8mpg no matter how you drive it. Pulling my 9000lb 33' toy hauler it doesn't want to leave 4th gear very often and it gets 4.7mpg. I have since bought a 2002 24v 4x4 3500 and it gets 8.5mpg towing the same trailer. Very interested in the Edison kit, very interested in the r2.8. Thanks for all the hard work guys!

And that 2.8 Cummins actually _does_ sound fantastic compared to the 4bt 😅 Man....now I want something small with the 2.8....if I had tons of money, Land Rover 90 all day, being broke (and still can't afford it lol), either a lifted 4WD S10, NV5600, 2.8, on some 35x13.5" on either 15x12 or 17x10....or.... another S10, but create a little dually out of it, extended cab, short bed, create some molded fiberglass dually fenders, some 17-18" dually wheels on low profile tires, C-Notched frame, full airbag suspension, either a Tremec T56 Magnum, or if it'll fit (just for the novelty), a 10spd Road Ranger lol with some super low gearing like 2.73 or 3.04 at the highest so it'll actually get up to highway speed lol, and of course....a big straight exhaust leading to an angled cut bed stack 🤣👌🏼 (talking about like a 90-93 square S10, it would look awesome 😅)

If you plan to keep the power steering setup on the motor for when the motor is running to generator power so power steering and Hydroboost work but want an electric power steering pump for when it is off, you can use a Volvo power steering unit (mid 2000s) to provide hydraulic power to those units. You would just need to plumb in a couple one way valves so the Volvo unit can provide hydraulic power when the engine stops turning. It is true that you can convert to electric power steering and power brakes, but those can require more work depending on how you do it.

I'd personally go with the 2019 style F150 front bumper, there's at least one guy who's done it, and it looks so much better than the 4th Gen Ram bumper, there's literally only one 4th Gen Ram bumper swap that I've seen that actually looked good, and that's because he spaced it out an inch or slightly more and _perfectly parallel_ with the headlights....every other one I've seen is either trying to get a tight fit, or angles upwards towards the fender edges...it seems all the "bolt-on" kits do the same, and IMO, looks terrible.....but the '19 style F150 bumper just outright looks better and flows much better with the 2nd Gen lines
