I’m from the UK and we are in exactly in the same position food prices are extortionate items are getting smaller in size and costing more. Mortgages are at around 7-8% for people with properties payments are up by around 30-40% in the last couple of years. This seems to be a global planned operation to wreck the economy and bring in the new financial system imo. Love to you all from across the pond 😘

Why has this happened? When income taxes were first set up, they were only on the very rich elites & corporations. But they financed politicians who would remove their taxes by exemptions mainly so that the tax burden fell on to the working classes & poor. So government started charging real estate taxes on peoples homes for revenue (then when Americans fell on hard times or retired & could no longer pay the constantly increasing real estate taxes, they were forced to sell or the government stole their properties for unpaid real estate taxes). This form of taxation needs to be stopped completely. The people need to demand it because they don't really own their homes when the government can seize it away from them because they can no longer afford the higher and higher taxes.

In 1960 corporations paid 60% of the income tax collected. Today corporations pay 28% of the income tax collected. Record corporate profits, lower standard of living for the average worker. I stopped playing the debt game, with the current cost of living, debt is out of the question. Paid off $60,000 in Car and interest free credit card debt in the last 44 months. Debt free and able to bank 45% of my monthly income of $3,716 = $1,672. Remember 1 thing from the video - DEBT is your enemy!!! Pay it off as soon as possible.

You believe someone else should pay your share of the costs to protect and care for you? How about a flat tax where everyone pays? I’ve spent a lifetime building a company that employs (supports) 45 people yet my net taxes exceeds 50% while you promote an individual should pay none? It’s that Marxist ideology that will put us all on the streets.

@@jefferysurratt5650amen brother…the way the world is today or in the last 5 years…al” you want is utilities , food , insurance and rent /mortgage and hopefully down the road no mortgage….there’s no room for car payments anymore cause cost of food for one…people with massive credit card debt are gonna be hurting…and they wonder why expensive vehicles are not selling, yes interest rates is one small reason , but. The cost to survive for 30 days has drastically gone up….credit cards and any loans are evil…people better start trying to live like the 50’s and actually save for a item instead of financing it…..I’m done giving bank’s interest as well…screw them…charging 12k to borrow 50k for a truck? But 5he won’t raise rates on our accounts to 7-8%???

@@jefferysurratt5650 Corporations/Business do not pay taxes. Only the "end" consumer pays them. As a business owner... if I sell you a $2 hotdog and the state starts charging 60% sales tax on that... I am raising that hotdog to $3.20 to compensate for that... and if the state backs off their 60% sales tax you can bet I will not be lowering the price now that I know customers will pay for that $3.20 hot dog. But if you go and ask for Gubermint to raise taxes again... you can bet I will jack up the prices again. been following John since 2007....My grandpa, an illiterate Italian immigrant, amassed $48,000 in his bank account (ps gold was $20 per oz) from 4 fruit stores he owned and ran in Manhattan in the roaring 20's He wasn't gambling in the stock market, just working & saving up in bank........the bank failed, he lost all his banked cash, he lost 3 stores, moved his wife and 7 kids to small apartment above the 4th store, they lived in poverty, cooking the vegies that went bad at the store,..boiled in soups and sauces...eventually the 4th store went down...poor Grampa died in poverty in 1950's...over 20years, he never got back, after being a rich, successful man in 1929. His message, passed down to me: "If only I saved in Gold, in steadda dat bank" Now, I got 7 kids, and the 100th anniversary of 1929 is upon us.....where are your savings?, your reserves?, your retirement? Its been a hell of a bull mkt..."a bigga bigga bubble" BANG!....nothing left but gold and silver.

During the Depression time, the Federal Government forced Americans to sell the gold they had to the government at greatly reduced prices, making it illegal for citizens to own gold. The Federal Government will most likely do it again since they have probably stolen or given away to foreign governments or for wars what gold used to be stored.

In 2021 used cars over $25000 were selling faster than cars under $15000. I haven't seen that in 17 years being a used car dealership owner. I think it is a great indicator that we are at the end of a long bull market and it goes to show how peoples' phycology works. Back in 2011 nobody would dare to open a small business even though it was the best time to get started. Fast forward to 2021 everybody became a business owner and an investor even though it is the best time to sell it all and stand on the sidelines for oppurtunities. For some reason the public got it backwards. This one is gonna be worse than 2008.

You can only dump your expensive toys if there are buyers. When buyers are scared.....no one gets anywhere. Even if you repo all the goods...how do you warehouse them when there are no buyers? Warehousing costs money. The loss slope is really steep.

If I am correct, the warehousing involves... • rent; • fire insurance; and • here in NYS, *inventory taxes* Here in NYS, the state looks upon inventory as a form of capital gain or income. For some time now, I have been guessing that the banks are going to (while keeping it very secret) stop doing repo for delinquent car loans. Why? For the very reason you said... it costs more to warehouse the repo-ed items. Now that I think about it, I don't think they warehouse the cars. Rather, they send them to HUGE parking lots, where the cars sit outdoors.

If the dollar collapses, those holding US treasury bonds will experience something never yet experienced in American history. And that is their treasury bonds being worthless. You could have a billion dollars worth of treasury bonds that evaporate overnight into nothingness. That could signal some kind of civil war / collapse of the US government. Now we know what happened in Venezuela with their bolivar that collapsed overnight and turned millionaires into the poor. That’s a 2nd world country so it’s not far fetched for it to happen to the US. This is why so many people believe in alternative assets like gold and crypto. But it would be a strange world if you don’t have a currency to measure these alternative assets. But they’d still be worth something and would eventually be measured by new fiat currencies. I do not believe the US government can just accumulate endless debt. The time will run out and countries like China will no longer want to carry this debt. And US just can’t keep printing money to no avail. It could bankrupt the country. If credit agencies completely lose faith in the US currency, that will be the beginning of the end of the US dollar.

I just wanted to clarify your comment about student loan borrowers not paying down loans, when interest rates were at zero. The real travesty is that while interest rates were at zero for 10+ years, my $107K of student loans (Direct Loans…not private) averaged 7% APR, and the interest rate continued to increase annually.

I've been through two of these cycles. First one, in the 90's stuck in a tiny flat with 2 toddlers & negative equity - interest rate was 18% on the mortgage. We'd just bought to "get on the housing ladder" a few years before. Second was the 2007-8 crash. People having to sell up at a loss (again). So many City folks losing their jobs, or worse, and impacts rippling through to other companies, suddenly finding sales figures tanking. If I had to manage my finances differently over my life again, I'd overpay my mortgage, not spend on "stuff" that's "want" rather than "need" racking up credit card debt. I was lucky to have a good redundancy package to pay off some of that debt in 2008, but it was a hard way to learn a lesson. All it takes is losing your job, or falling ill. Whilst you can insure against it, often that only lasts a year. Better to prevent it in the first place.

I enjoy your show and one thing as you say history repeats itself. I have been living in Hungary for the past four years and watching the inflation in Eastern Europe. As that country just celebrated its 1,000 th year of existence, it is hard for most Americans to wrap their head around that. Hungarians have seen the economy drop beyond what we have seen in America. And currently the Forint is trading at around 380 to $1….. it is not too crazy to see the USA falter maybe not to that level in our lifetime, but it is definitely on the mind of us watching. It would be nice to have some historical perspectives from once great nations, not to put fear in your listeners, but to educate them. I’m back in the USA now and purchased a home recently, but it took me 2 years and I found one at a discount as you know it is all relative to our needs. Thanks for the great info!! Bsst, James Toler

13:50 Countries are not "choosing" to use dollar because its safe. Countries are forced to use dollar because this is what USA has forced them to do. Nobody voluntarily uses another country's currency to trade with anyone else unless there is exterior force being applied (convenience or force major). In regular speak, if Kazakhstan wants to trade with its neighbor China... they do so in dollars because 1 country on other side of planet 6000 miles away can influence geopolitics and tell the "cool kids club" to issue sanctions against that country. Those countries comply because of perpetual loop of 1 country on entire planet basically running the world itself in that way. Creation of Briggs basically removes any influence whatsoever from USA onto rest of the planet and its military might will dwindle into oblivion when country itself collapses. These things take decades and centuries and the rest of the world who is much older than USA by magnitude of thousands of years knows that when they play their cards right... empire will fall without having the need to make it fall. It will collapse from within just like the rest did over time and rest of the world is simply preparing now to what is going to happen in the future.

They have seven years to garnish paychecks and bank accounts and lien property…and also give it to a third party collection agency or an attorney for judgments to come after you for money owed. On top of that, for 7 years your credit is gone. Bankruptcy is 10 years of destruction…and after ten years you still have to disclose that you’ve filed in the past when applying for loans. The best way out of consumer debt is a non profit counseling service who will put you on a five year payment plan for around 5% interest. For profit debt payment companies are rip offs. They destroy your credit with charge offs and call it a ”settlement”. Any consumer can settle their own debt without a company once they are facing a charge off and if you are in a legitimate hardship situation ( no one who simply fails to pay out of resistance will get anywhere with a card company) but a settlement will ruin your credit for 7 years.

If banks give money to their favorite clients in time of easing .Those clients await restrictive times and buy all the real estate so the real estate goes up and the non favorite clients go to the bank and loan money at high cost .Money obtained cheaply . The favorite clients and the banks win , I loose :( Thanks for comprehensive explanation

Nice analogy of the Fed! He has a great talent with his word play to help common people understand exactly how everything works. Good interview and I called the 2008 crash as well and got out of the mortgage biz in 2006 knowing where it was heading. I also agree with it being an election year, it happened with Trump. I was shocked to see rates go as low as they did and knew it was going to bite us in the butt in the future which it has. According to the WEF they have said cuts will occur these next 6mos but because of being accused that it is being used in an election cycle that it won’t continue.

but let's not talk about the fact that the highest tax bracket went from 70% to 37% and that the top1% of the population used to take 8% of the total US income is now taking more than 25%. Amazing to me that some people still continue with the same rhetoric that the problem is the government when surge in inequalities have ALWAYS created problems.

This guy told his son to “stop paying” his credit cards?!? What kind of a financial guy is this??? Credit card agencies can garnish bank accounts, wages and lien property…for seven years! Needless to say- charged off credit ruins you worse than you realize…for seven years. Totally not worth it. AND how dishonest to not pay your obligations!! I used to work for a major credit card for 23 years. I watched thousands of consumers make ill informed decisions thinking they were “getting away with it” when that is not the case. If not the credit holder, the tp collection agency who takes the debt post charge off, will find you and garnish you. They have seven years to collect your growing debt
@Glockmog2007
@Glockmog2007 11 ай бұрын
This is false in the US they cant garnish wages for credit card debt or do pretty much anything but call you and destroy your credit score. With 20+% interest rates most people with credit card debt have zero hope to ever pay it off so I would say its very good advice. And the entire system is dishonest, I would rather just buy stuff with money that I actually have but unfortunately we live in a world based around debt and with inflation if you arent taking on debt you are just putting yourself at a massive disadvantage. And they let people take debt and then declare bankruptcy and it all disappears which is effectively a tax on everyone who actually pays their debt. Dont hate the player hate the game.
@1984Cece
@1984Cece 11 ай бұрын
That's not true, that's a lie. The only ones who can and have the power to garnish wages is if you owe the government money. That's how it is if you owe money to the IRS. Credit cards are voluntary loans from banks. What this means is that they invite you to have credits and debts.
@Kristen289

Wow, Central Banks can create money out of thin air, but they have to buy something to do that. Generally, they will buy the more secure asset, Government securities, but in crisis, they start buying more risky assets to create that cash. But they can't just transfer money to the banks.
