Plus he didn't get Bites The Dust until after he killed Hayato in a moment of uncontrollable rage and needed to undo that. If it only went back to when the bomb was first planted, Hayato would still be dead.

When I first watched part 4, my interpretation was that time resets 1 hour when he initially sets Bites The Dust, and goes back to the initial planting of the bomb in all future situations with that host. It's still very wrong, but it's how I didn't realize I misunderstood it until now.

We know that cream desintegrates whatever it hits or eats, and since it seems to produce heat from the impact, it might reduce things to dust, so that depends on if you think those stands can regenerate from being reduced to basically nothing We don’t know what happens to things hit by the hand, since okuyasu can’t access whatever place they are scraped to like vanilla ice, or if they are even sent somewhere to begin with Though it wouldn’t matter because if they succeeded in hittinf the entirety of yellow temperance and notorious BIG, they’d be stuck in another dimension at best

I just want to add to the punch killing Dio makes even more sense when you recall that Dio mentioned how the left side of his body doesn't regenerate the same as the right side of his body, since Jonathan's body is still rejecting him. If you see the punch, Jotaro punched the Left leg of Dio's body, which did massive damage to Dio as he was already weakened anyway. I think that's mostly also why the punch was more effective.

But I don't know of many stories which state that a vampire that does not eat for a long period of time will starve to death.

I think it's weird when people downplay Jotaro's last punch as "Oh he just punched his leg", like he punched him hard enough to CUT HIS STAND IN HALF, that's such a crazy feat which I think was only ever done again by the ghost alley, a supernatural entity. Also the buggy wheel (your second interpretation specifically) and the Zuko zipper question both feel to me like they originate from the same kind of annoying fandom trend which is taking everything not explicitly shown on screen as a plot hole instead of just accepting that it probably happened off screen.

also: the "bites the dust rewinds by an hour, getting slightly more ahead each time" would also explain Hyato having apparently gone threw the loop once before for heavens door to be able to read it but not seeming to remember, as its likely during the first loop he was rewound an hour back to when he was asleep, thus its likely his memory was fuzzy and he could have dismissed it as just a dream, while in future loops he was rewinding to a point he was already awake, making it a jump directly from one point of consciousness to another which is far more jarring and harder to ignore

I think it's partially because Jojo's has a weirdly high number of people who are fans of the series without having read the manga or seen the anime. I'm guessing it's usually kids who find out about Jojo's through Roblox and/or KZbin videos, and don't know where to watch the actual anime. Some of it also comes from people who only watch the anime dub, as demonstrated in this video. This is probably the cause of some of the more egregious errors Hamon Beat has talked about.

The requiem headcanon probably came from the video "What is a requiem stand?" by xForts from 2016, which has 3.3 million views as of this comment. In it, he says "The way a requiem Stand works is that the arrow will grant the Stand user a new Stand that has the perfect ability for the exact situation and allows the user to achieve what they want most at that moment in the most bizarre way." He later goes on to cite a hypothetical example of Buccellati being very hungry and wanting nothing more than some pizza. He posits that, were Sticky Fingers to be pierced in that moment, then SF Requiem would either turn Buccellati into a pizza magnet and attract all the pizza in the world to him, or it would make him not require food anymore. Of course, this is pure conjecture (and being from 2016, his only citations are the shitty Nameless-One scans, as JJCA hadn't reached that point yet), but because that video is so popular, I'm almost certain that it is responsible for the prevalence of this headcanon. I myself believed it for a while, as I'd watched that video a few months before reading Part 5 for myself.

On the topic of making a more neutral discussion video on Jojo's, I think you should also do a front to back "Everything to know about Stands" video. You've done similar videos, like your videos on explaining what counts as a stand, and your debunking videos usually contain Stand rule clarifications in them. But I think a video that lays out every single detail about Stands would be very useful for people less knowledgeable on them. Since I don't think there's a single video on KZbin that contains every detail about them, mostly the more minor stuff like how BTD is an ability manifested not a requiem, how stand visibility works, exactly how manifestation works, how stands are linked to ripple and spin, how the beetle arrow isn't a requiem arrow, etc. I think a video like this would go a long ways, in helping the community clarify misinterpretations on Jojo's, since we could just link the video and a timestamp to people online who are confused on a particular rule with Stands. You could even make several videos like this for all aspects of Jojo's.

8:51 This reminds me where there may be a issue in Part 5's dub where a passenger dealing with the effects of The Grateful Dead notices Pesci and calls out to him "You with the fishing pole" which would imply that he can see Beach Boy. There are a few Stands classified as materialized Stands that non users can see, but checking JoJowiki Beach Boy isn't one of them. Checking it subtitled the passenger doesn't mention the fishing pole, but also I'm uncertain what the manga says. While I'm sure the obvious answer is that non Stand users can't see Beach Boy, I think it is worth bringing up in a future video.

In the same time, some of them make it their whole shtick, and then it's hilarious. One more detail about Dino getting punched in the leg and shattering is that earlier in the story Dio mentions that Jonathan’s body is still rejecting him and that his left side heals slower. He shows this by injuring his thumbs (I think with stingy ripper eyes) and the hole on his left thumb is bigger showing his left side is more vulnerable. And it is his left leg that gets punched and shatters up the rest of his body defeating him.

Unrelated to the Araki Forgot topic, but there's something I realized recently that I know I'm probably not the first person to figure out by a long shot, but that is neat and that I feel like sharing regardless. I was thinking about the musical references throughout the series, and it suddenly clicked to me that starting with Stardust Crusaders and ending with Stone Ocean, all of the main villain's powers are references to the features of a media player. Dio's The World stops time (Pause/Resume), Kira's Killer Queen Bites the Dust reverses time back to an hour beforehand (Rewind), Diavolo's King Crimson skips time (Skip), and finally Pucci's Made In Heaven speeds up time for everyone except himself (Fast Forward).

To put it simple. The confessor and servant swapped places via surgery. The only time the man with orange hair and strange hairdo was actually the confessor in the flashback was the beginning where he accidentally killed the begger. But when he was cursed he prepared head of time via having the swap place with his servant so servant with his face was attacked by the ghost instead of the real confessor. The servant wasn’t cursed but like the begger he came back a vengeful spirit as he was tricked by the confessor to do the swap as he didn’t know about the spirit and probably made up some lie like “I want to surprise my kid” or something

First question: How does Buccarati not notice Trish being taken away from him in the "Fated," time during King Crimson's timeskip?Is he fated not to react or notice a stand bashing through the elevator ceiling and slicing off Trish's hand? We're shown people react unconciously during skipped time as they should, like jummping off a boat or picking up bullets. So what was "Skipped," Buccarati during? Second question: He can affix things to himself and the air, to the point where he can instantly negate the force of a bullet on contact and carry his own body weight, so how can Mista's bullet overcome the affixation of the previous bullet in Sale's head? I assume the affixation was instant because one of Mista's shots went in Sales throat, and you can't go very far at all with that bullet without it being fatal. It was stopped fast enough to only make him struggle to talk. If he couldn't instantly halt the momentum of a bullet, then the damage done to his throat would be way more severe. If it's the case that he un-affixed the bullet after stopping it, why not re-affix said bullet to his skull? Since he knew that's where Mista was aiming when he was defeated and had enough time to talk about it.

To add on to the "why didn't kira kill josuke when he bumped into him" question, I believe there's even a line during the bites the dust arc where kira has a moment of regret or introspection about how he could have killed josuke at any time, yet his ideals of living a quiet life completely contradict that. So your analysis being "he just didn't deem it necessary/didn't want to" his very accurate, as kira admits that himself.

Having seen so many of these videos, I feel the grand majority of “Araki forgot” moments can be boiled down to an anime-only error, clunky translation (especially in parts 4 and 5), relying on and misinterpreting old interviews and fan theories/content being seen as a replacement for reading the manga. Now that a lot of these most infamous moments have been so thoroughly debunked, I wonder how “Araki forgot” will play out in Part 9, and seeing how fast Hamon Beat can debunk them. 🤣

Regarding reqiuem abilities: Even if it was true that their ability was tailored to the specific situation of their activstion, there is no reason to assume that a requiem stand would look different each time. Its possible that scr when it first got the arrow would have had a different ability, but that the evolved stand just always looks the same. Scr never actually completed the transformation or did anyhting so we have no idea what its ability would have been.

There are other reasons that aren't actually their fault. 1. The anime made a mistake, confusing them. 2. They read a poorly translated version of the manga that made things confusing. So its all these reasons, but mostly the reasons you listed because by now, it should be easy to get proper Jojo and the anime is mostly faithful.

This has been bugging me since I read it… when Gyro first gets affected by tomb of the boom, strange spikes come from his leg as he becomes magnetic. When he escapes the Boom Booms, the spikes go away as expected. So it seems like the spikes have something to do with tomb of the boom’s ability. But the spikes never appear again, on Gyro, Johnny, or Mountain Tim, even when they fight tomb of the boom just minutes later and become magnetic again. It also can’t be directly caused by the Boom Booms because they only start to attack after the spikes start appearing.

I'm surprised this was not mentioned in the part about Dio's leg and maybe it's a misconception on my part, but wasn't that part of Dio explicitly a weak point because it was the last part of Jonathan's Body that he failed to completely take over? In the part where Hol Horse confronts Dio, Dio explains that the reason he's biding his time and stalling the Stardust Crusaders from getting to him is that he hasn't gained full control of Jonathan's body yet and some parts of him still heal less fast than others. While Jotaro had no way of knowing this, it could be why the fight ended at this point and taking a hard hit to that leg did so much damage.

No, he remedied the healing problem when he consumed Joseph's blood. The reason that leg was so fragile was because Jotaro had just shattered it, and Dio himself further damaged it to squirt blood into Jotaro's eyes.

When Jotaro brings up the rat acquiring a stand even in the dub, I think the intention was teaching Josuke that it can be done, not that this was actually any news to himself. Usually, when Jotaro learns something new himself like that, he shows more surprise. Like when he realized the rat was intelligently working around his time stop.

5:15 I’m pretty sure at the end of the bridge scene there was a text box that said DIO is dead, the same kind of text box that states Kakyoin’s and Pet Shop’s death. And if we assume the text box is always correct at the point in time it appears, DIO died from that punch. The sunlight is just them getting rid of the body.

in the sandman/soundman fight w johnny, when johnny delivered the final blow, killing sandman, he was shot cleanly through his neck, but in a silent way's mouth, face and just lower face area was all destroyed instead of pierced in his neck. usually i see the user's damage being afflicted on the stand or vice versa and the damage always looks the same.

For the question at 17:30 I think at the moment when Polnareff first touches the arrow he is in hiding from Diavolo and therefore his greatest wish at that moment is to see Diavolo defeated. In a very very long and roundabout way Silver Chariot Requiem does kinda fulfill this as his experience with the Requiem arrow led to him telling Giorno which led to Giorno defeating Diavolo. Head canon restored
