Many Muslim youths listen to such kind of music even when it is clearly prohibited so you can imagine why prohibited it. 3:00 Wearing perfume - So that women don't attract unnecessary male attention. 3:05 A women's role is at home - Women are allowed to go out and do jobs within certain limits, but you have to realize the world has always been very unsafe for women, and it still is in many parts of the world. 3:18 Women being relegated to the back of the mosque - Yes because women bending and praying in front of men will be distracting, to say the least. 3:28 Most masjids in India don't even have a women's area - Because most women in India don't even go to mosques. 3:34 Women's area in mosques is tiny, dimly-lit, isolated - That may be because very few women attend prayers. There is no such discrimination in Islam. If the women's area is dimly lit then it's the fault of the people in charge of the mosque. 4:50 Khadijah's wealth was actually drained after Islam - Khadijah WILLINGLY donated her money for helping her loving husband. Women are not obligated in Islam to share their money with their husbands, on the other hand a man has to provide for at least the basic shelter, food, and clothing for his wife. 5:15 Best place for a woman to pray is her home, in the most isolated part - Yes because that's where the most privacy and safety is. Remember much of the world was very unsafe in history for men so you can imagine how vulnerable women were. 5:40 Women are not allowed to travel without a male guardian - Again it is an issue of safety. Even today a lot of the world is unsafe for women and sadly will continue to be so for a very long time. 6:41 Women are given half of the inheritance a brother will receive - Because a woman gets to keep the inheritance all to herself whereas a man has to provide for his family. A woman is not obligated to pay any money to her husband. 6:47 Women are not allowed to divorce their husbands - They are totally ALLOWED to divorce their husbands. 11:50 You can mary your adopted son's wife - No there is no concept of an adopted son in Islam 12:07 Prophet saying I am best to my wives - Through numerous authentic hadiths, we come to know how great of a husband he was. 12:15 Wives were miserable - Very wrong information, all of his wives were very happy with him. 12:54 Islamic societies don't treat women well - It is because Muslim men don't understand and implement the teachings of Islam.

Ms. Alaa Murabit gave a very impassioned speech advocating for the rights of women in Islam. I share her passion. However her speech did not give justice to the title. Ms. Murabit ignores Muhammad's dictates and is trying to moderate and whitewash Islam. So here is what Muhammad said about women. 1. Muhammad considered naming angels in the hereafter (an-Najm 53:27) with female names a horrible thing, so apparently all angels are males. 2. Muhammad said women had a deficiency of the intelligence. 3. Muhammad said that the majority of the occupants of hell were women. 4. Muhammad's 6 year old wife, Aisha, when she grew up complained that Muhammad made wives "equal to the dogs and the asses." Sahih Muslim 4:1039. 5. Muhammad gave men the permission to beat their wives. 6. Muhammad said that believing men, I assume those married and unmarried, when they get to heaven they would be rewarded with new virgin women who had never had sex with men or jinn. Heaven is described as a place where men have their choice of large eyed virgin women to have sex with. Muhammad said nothing about the reward that women would get. 7. Muhammad gave himself permission to have an unlimited number of wives and female slaves while limiting his male followers to just 4 wives but unlimited female slaves. 8. Muhammad gave permission to his male followers who were away at war permission to contract temporary marriages for the purpose of quenching their sexual appetites. So women were temporarily married just to use their bodies. "So which of these favors of your lord would you deny?" What kind of image or role of women is painted and modeled in those pronouncements? Muslims believe that Muhammad's words and instructions are infallible and that he speaks for god. He is also the final messenger with the final complete and perfect message for the rest of time. These pronouncements are not subject to change. Anyone who wishes to change these edicts of Muhammad should acknowledge that they are violating the words of Muhammad.

When the theif is asked to swear on Allah, And asked, ""Have to stolen Pakistani currency?"" He does Taqiyaa and says No. Because he has stolen Dollars and not rupees. Do you see the difference? Deception, Lying and Taqiyya Does Islam permit Muslims to lie? Muslim scholars teach that Muslims should generally be truthful to each other, unless the purpose of lying is to "smooth over differences" or "gain the upper-hand over an enemy" There are several forms of lying to non-believers that are permitted under certain circumstances, the best known being taqiyya (the Shia name). These circumstances are typically those that advance the cause of Islam - in some cases by gaining the trust of non-believers in order to draw out their vulnerability and defeat them. Quran Quran (16:106) - Establishes that there are circumstances that can "compel" a Muslim to tell a lie. Quran (3:28) - This verse tells Muslims not to take those outside the faith as friends, unless it is to "guard themselves" against danger, meaning that there are times when a Muslim may appear friendly to non-Muslims, even though they should not feel friendly. Quran (9:3) - "...Allah and His Messenger are free from liability to the idolaters..." The dissolution of oaths is with pagans who remained at Mecca following its capture. They did nothing wrong, but were evicted anyway. (The next verse refers only to those who have a personal agreement with Muhammad as individuals - see Ibn Kathir vol 4, p 49) Quran (66:2) - "Allah has already ordained for you the dissolution of your oaths..." Quran (40:28) - A man is introduced as a believer, but one who had to "hide his faith" among those who are not believers. Quran (2:225) - "Allah will not call you to account for thoughtlessness in your oaths, but for the intention in your hearts" Quran (3:54) - "And they (the disbelievers) schemed, and Allah schemed (against them): and Allah is the best of schemers." The Arabic word used here for scheme (or plot) is makara, which means 'cunning,' 'guile' and 'deceit'. If Allah is supremely deceitful toward unbelievers, then there is little basis for denying that Muslims are allowed to do the same. (See also 8:30 and 10:21) Taken collectively these verses are interpreted to mean that there are circumstances when a Muslim may be "compelled" to deceive others for a greater purpose. Hadith and Sira Sahih Bukhari (52:269) - "The Prophet said, 'War is deceit.'" The context of this is thought to be the murder of Usayr ibn Zarim and his thirty unarmed companions by Muhammad's men after they were "guaranteed" safe passage (see Additional Notes below). So what this lady is saying is that if you take vague/broad verses from the Quran and Hadith, they could be applied to treating women equally. I would tend to say that nothing she said was incorrect.
