At this point, the show should just be called "Paranormal: We Have No Coherence, like brooms that ghostly 7-year olds carry around."
@davidbates30574 ай бұрын
That last footage, lol. If you look carefully you can see the "ghost" broom's head going over the tabletop when it's meant to be in the doorway behind the table. This is either some super strong ghost, or, more likely, something is reflecting off the screen this was being viewed on that just so happens to look somewhat like a broom whose head NEVER MOVES as it swishes back and forth. Regardless, love how in sync you two are with your tolerance for nonsense. The dust section had me creasing up. "Nothing has ever topped... THE DUST!"

It's crazy what movies has done to ouija boards in general... This use to be such a common thing in the 1800s (and even before in other forms) during the spiritualism period to wipe out the spirit board to "chat" with a dead loved one, nothing scary about it whatsoever - to a point that it got patented as a freakin' TOY... Nowadays, just looking at a spirit board is potentially opening the door to "demons" and "evil spirits"... /smh Oh and, it's hilarious to me that a "message of love" from a ghost is entirely dependent on the couple setting up a motion-detecting camera to capture it, and not actually appearing to the couple and saying "Hi! I love you! Bye!"... PS: Also, wouldn't the most haunted places on Earth be hospitals where people die all the time, every single day? Oddly enough, they're only ever "haunted" when they are abandoned and infinitely creepier - what a STRANGE coincidence...
@phonybeautrain65204 ай бұрын
The Gentrification of Ouija Boards is certainly something that happened.
@BagOfMagicFood3 ай бұрын
Was it movies that sensationalized Ouija? I figured it was just the dominant Christians having a Satanic Panic.
@xen0bia3 ай бұрын
From the early days of the spirit board, there were always some religious figures who associated it with witchcraft and condemned it use, but it was largely dismissed by people. It's really the movie The Exorcist (a movie that really struck the imagination of people back in the day) that tipped the scale, from mundane divination tool to irredeemably evil and demonic device made by Satan himself. And this coincides with the early days of the satanic panic of the 70s. So it's sorta both in a sense. Nowadays, spirit boards are collectively seen as evil, which goes to show how impressionable people can be, only having depictions of the spirit board from movies and TV shows to go off of, and not its forgotten actual and rather innocent history.
