36:00 - I've been First Officer on a School Ship for kids for years, and I order them to drink a cup of strong sweetened ginger granulate each before sailing and one during the day. No seasickness has occured onboard. And there have been some quite definitive Papers published that Ginger is in fact MORE effective in preventing seasickness than any OTC remedies, and without side effects such as drowsiness. Drowsiness aboard a sail ship is a bad combo. Rig and tackle carry tremendous loads, and stumbling about without full situational awareness onboard is not recommended. Ginger works like a dream!

I've suffered ONE major bout of seasickness in my life (never again), and a lengthy record of motion queasiness. So, I deeply respect Adam and Grant for voluntarily undergoing this torture. I do feel that there might be a psychological component as well. This could explain Jamie's lack of response. On the other side of the coin, my father LOVED ocean fishing, and one of his buddies would always get seasick. One time, he got seriously seasick before the boat had even left the wharf.

The banana peel on the gun was vastly more common on blackpowder guns. And it has to do with the way the barrel is constructed, the European method of constructing a barrel involves using a central hardened steel core and the new metal is wrapped around and then hammered into shape, usually this hammering makes the sides flat so you end up with a hexagonal shape, only strong enough for blackpowder, however if the end is blocked and you fire it, indeed here is a HUGE chance of banana peel simply because that hexagonal shape is a weakness in itself since it introduces weakpoints in the seams. Ironically, Chinese and Japanese barrel making methods do not suffer these methods, since their superior metallurgy involves just casting the entire barrel and then drilling it out.

43:22 - A buddy of mine went grouse hunting, and walking through a forest, snow fell from the trees and blocked his barrel. He came upon some grouse, swung the gun around, fired and got a big, what we call 'Barrel Apple' at the tip of the barrel. I told him that he ought to change the barrel, but he continued using the shotgun for years after with the 'Apple' and no ill effects. Modern Barrels are made of some solid materials, BUT I would not recommend to continue shooting if you have gotten a 'Barrel Apple'!

I studied neuroscience and I worked on a number of studies on proprioception (how your brain knows where your parts are even in the dark or blind). It wasn't demonstrated but I we didn't find reason to exclude it as possible either.

The anchorage wasn't that bad , but was a bit rolly , and totally off grid . But there comes a time when food , or more often water cuts things short , and this is what happened here . We docked in a marina , and i felt the need to visit the toilet . Sat on the pan , i could swear the floor was moving . No ill effects just that feeling , soon passed , but just really weird .

A big chunk of the cylinder was gone and the top strap standing straight up. No banana barrel, and I don't know what happened to the shooter, but it could not have been good.
