If Top Gear and TGT want to continue, they need to try something new, that's not trying to ape these three. Nobody is going to be the perfect replacement, at least not right away. You could keep a somewhat similar format, but I'd encourage trying 4 people instead of three.

I think it won’t be long before the BBC starts to put full episodes up here, since the trio have now retired, and the potential for ad revenue by putting them on youtube would trump any television reruns; 15 years’ worth of the legends brought to a new generation of people across the world. my guess as to the delay would be copyright issues due to the need to replace or secure permissions for the music in the episodes, since it is youtube after all.

It's possible, but they have also made money by licensing the series to various streaming services over the years, so not sure whether that or ad revenue from KZbin would make them more in the long run, since from what many content creators have said, youtube's ad revenue isn't actually that much. That's part of why most youtubers do sponsor reads instead.

My favorite thing about their challenges is how there's a particular pattern: • One does alright. Always some big hiccups, but ultimately they did the best (or rather, the least awful) • Another does poorly. Like, everything went absolutely wrong, and you think they couldn't have possibly done any worse • And the third one proves that they could, in fact, do much worse than the other, and lose in spectacular fashion
