Martinon and Debussy are a match made in Heaven! The feverish tempo Martinon uses in Sirenes makes the orchestra and especially the chorus sound incredibly sensuous, mesmerizing, and otherworldly.

I have a few of Martinon's Debussy recordings on LP back in the '70's and treasure them. I had not heard his recording of this particular piece, but it is of the same caliber as others in the series. Wonderful. I'm very late to the party, but this is so beautiful.
