Here are some additional notes that didn't show up on the video: - EX Scramble (LK+MK) Kick follow-up also breaks armors, useful against focus attacks. - MK, HK, and EX Scramble (air versions) into H.Break can be used as anti air as well. The idea is to use the invincibility of the move to cross up the opponent while in the air, then land behind them with a H.Break before they reach the ground while evading their attack. It can be combo-ed into air throw, U2, or LK Scramble into Kick follow-up easily for good AA damage and a knock down. - It is possible to option select between TC1 and TC2 when unsure about the range if the input is MP, HK, HP in rapid succession (I press MP then plink HK into HP). This prioritizes TC1 over TC2 whenever within cls.MP range, and TC2 comes out by default if out of range. Useful in footsies and frame traps from further ranges.

***** Oh yeah!! Totally forgot about that! Thanks for the reminder (I don't use it that often). I like to do it this way though: MP, LP, HK~HP, MP, LP with LP before HK, so I can use my thumb for HK and it makes it far easier to piano correctly -- just a personal preference.

Basically go from down/back to down/up for your sting, then hold the focus a bit and do a dash ultra. The motion is back back down/forward down/back up+kicks or forward forward down/forward down/back up+kicks depending on your dash direction.

Great video man, as someone in the struggle I actually learned alot just by watching. Who do you think her best/worst match-ups are?

I have heard it said that grapplers are her worst matchup. You need a veeeeery tight meaty ground pound to not be SPD punishable, you can't use rapid daggers at all (even well spaced daggers vs zangief), and you can only use spiral arrow as a punish. I imagine fighting grapplers is mostly walking backwards and forwards and hitting hard kick, then doing medium scramble with no follow up whenever you're cornered, probably with a billion scramble feints in between to hopefully bait things.

It's also worth noting that her reversal is throw invincible OR hit invincible, meaning you have to resort to EX sting more against a character with a command grab.

***** I've found that EX Spiral arrow is Very useful against the whole cast, but only as a block string starter, or bait. always try to aim below the belt with it. Also, cr. lp Daggers at max range works against everyone in the game except for T. Hawk and Hakan(only when oiled) T. Hawk can punish with ALL levels of his Mexican Typhoon except for the EX because it has 2 extra frames of startup and is subsequently too slow to accurately punish, since Decapre can backdash. And like I said before, Hakan needs to be oiled to be able to punish max range lp Daggers.

A lot of people have reservations about learning charge characters but in truth they force you into thoughtful play, good fundamentals, and it's arguably executionally easier to do cancels etc. with charge moves. Decapre is one of the more irregular charge characters but she's not terrible for beginners.

You can slide Hard Medium Light Medium Hard for hard hands, or Light Medium Hard Medium Light for light.

I'm not an expert, find a way to do it that's comfortable for you. I play on pad lol. There's plenty of hands guides out there.

Really efficient charging. Getting charge as early as possible is the main key.

I'm trying to do the first punish and after the LP. MP. i jump instead of doing the stinger. Also it seems for me since i cant do it for some reason the LP ->MP is very slow and it gets blocked in the lab.

Are we talking about linking crouch LP into crouch MP? If you're getting a jump then you're doing the cancel waaay too late, possibly because you don't have charge. And the timing to link cr. LP to cr. MP is 2 frames, which is 1/30th of a second, so it's quite precise.

How can i beat zangief and hugo? i struggle a lot because i cant do anything but pokes.

Win with just pokes. Decapre can allow herself to get slowly pushed to the corner because she can use MK scramble or even LK scramble to really efficiently get out of it and it's very difficult for gief and hugo to chase, especially considering you can land instantly with MP at any point. Walk back and forth and st. HK, cr. MP, and anti air, and you'll find it's very difficult for grapplers to get much pressure on you. Also if you jump back on an SPD you can spiral arrow on reaction to get good damage and tons of screen back

If you cancel from a punch button you effectively need one less punch input. I often hear people say, hit cr. MK then slide your fingers across the punches. It takes 5 punches to activate hands. If you want jab hands, do LP MP HP MP LP. If you want fierce hands, do HP MP LP MP HP. Of course, learning to efficiently buffer it during strings is really helpful too.

How can you do ultra's after psycho sting ???? how do you have time to charge after doing psycho sting then EX focus cancel, to perform and ultra (DCM or Psycho stream), all of this while they are still in air?? any tips? Thanks!

You don't have time to charge. When you do psycho sting, go from down back rolling to up back, this keeps your left/right charge. Then, after you fadc, do a dash ultra. The motion is charge back, forward forward back forward punches for U1, or charge back, forward forward d/f, d, d/b, b, u/b kicks for U2 (note that this only works for decapre's u2 and not of similar motions, and only as of 1.04). After you break charge you've got a little bit of leniency before you have to ultra and that's enough to do the dash. It's not too hard for decapre because her dash is good.

yes, that will get you either ultra, but you need the up version of the kicks ultra to juggle, so you need to use that other motion I listed (f, f, d/f, hcb from d/f to u/b). This is quite difficult to do even for experienced players but with practice it's quite reliable.

I put my fingers between the buttons. MP~LP, MK~LK, HK~MK, and HP~MP are almost always available inputs for plinks regardless of which character I'm playing.
