I'm from Assam and was living in Bangalore for 10 years. Returned to home 5 years ago. In my 10 years of Bangalore life, I had never saw/heard about Mysore Sandal Soap! No friends even talk to me about it. May be I was so in love with the city that I didn't give much attention to a little thing like a soap! 2 years ago, in my home town, I saw it in a local store. The name Mysore brought back beautiful memories of Bangalore City. So I decided to give it a try! I asked the soap "where were you my entire life?!" While using it for the first time... Lol. I've a sensitive skin, never liked any soap due to heavy amount of chemicals present in it. I like Mysore Sandal Soap for its simplicity and pureness! Minimal chemicals, Sandal and high TFM. Best combination for a soap! I've been using it since 2 years continuously and storing them lol... Wife often asks me why are you buying the same soap when you already got 10 of them?! I simply reply " What'll happen, if, one day they decide not to send it to this remote part of the country?!" Watching the company get bigger makes me feel good! But I've a little insecurity though! Will the company keep holding its integrity or will it lose like almost all other corporate giants?! Hope they keep making good soaps and spreading happiness!

The Mysore Sandal soap had its origin in the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. It was Sosale G Shastry (famously called-Soap Shastry) whose research led to Sandalwood oil extraction, that laid the foundation for what is today KSDL. He was ably supported by Nalawadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar and M Vishveswaraya.

i guess they should maintain more quality and clean in their machines where I can see lot of rust irons on the machines where soap goes through that, and no suit, no gloves for the workers safety. premesis are not even clean for any worker there.

I have used Mysore Sandal Soap, it's really something we should take pride in undoubtedly. But I am actually concerned about Deccan Herald. Have they sold their soul to current Siddaramaiah Govt. .? I don't understand how the government has to do with the history of Mysore Sandal Saop. Why is DH giving credits to them in the very beginning. These filthy leader were not even born then. An independent media house should not be influenced by the political parties. Deccan Herald, your credibility is in doubt.🤔
