This is not an insult Larry. I have a Peterbilt 2015 model with the same engine. And since your truck in my truck are sister trucks. I was really excited to hear you have this problem because my truck is doing the exact same thing and I have had hell locating that piece that you just walk right up to and pointed to. Lol. I haven’t finished watching the video but as soon as you said this thing is so easy to find. B/S. I’ve watched 20 videos and you were the very first person to walk right up and identify the part I’ve been looking for this whole time LOL. Thank you so much for posting this now I can quit ripping my hair out even though I’m bald.

Your video helped me change the solenoid on mine 2014 CUMMINS ISX15. If I can add one more comment is: one way to diagnose a bad solenoid is to unplug the air outlet from it and feel if there’s an air coming coming out. If YES your solenoid is good, if NO unplug the inlet and if you have air coming in you have a bad solenoid.

Great video Larry. I'm guessing were going to see a lot of these Celedon trucks abandoned at truck stops. The banks that own these trucks will need to recover as many as they can and auction them off. I feel bad for all those truckers. Take care brother.

I like that also, fixing up a truck stop . new an improved, Celadon is Celadone.
@jimc124 жыл бұрын
Celadon has lease trucks. It was most likely the leasing company. We just hired a Celadon IC at my company. He brought his Celadon truck over. The leasing company that owns his truck also leases trucks to our company. So they got him moved over to us. Deferred his payments and wont be charging him to redo the contract.

Being on a Silage Crew the corn stalks raise heck with most exposed wiring plus the carnage of chopping silage mid August 100 plus, extreme diet of dirt and racing across corn rows getting to and from the chopper to the pit as quick as possible. Well you get the picture, trucks are run hard. The fans we wired with Manuel switches to switch on and off. Yeah usually on since fuel economy isn't monitored. Nice watching a truck fixed correctly. Of course chopper charges 1200 hour trucks 200 day per fuel provided by customer. They want it cut fast. 1000 horse Chopper goes through 500-600 gallons in 13 hours. Yeah I enjoy watching good maintenance on tar roads.

Did the Celedon truck have any fuel in it? Their fuel cards were shut off, wonder If the driver drove towards home until they were low on fuel.
@RiDankulous4 жыл бұрын
Speaking of fans running and fuel mileage, I believe when I tracked my mileage that the climate control fan in my car reduced gas mileage, but when I cracked the windows, no problems. I could be wrong because altitude changes may have accounted for some of it. AC wasn't running with or without that fan running. Pretty minor but I like to save money everywhere.

If this doesn't fix it get another solenoid and wire it to a switch and run it manually but leave the plug to the other plug up so the ecm thinks it's there..
@LongHaulLarry4 жыл бұрын
It fixed ot
@danielwatkins2864 жыл бұрын
Left that message for other owner ops if the ecm isn't working the fan at all, mine stopped working the fan so I ran another solenoid to the fan and to a switch but left the old solenoid plugged to the ecm because it wanted shut the truck down when the old solenoid was unplugged , the fan light stays on but at least I can shut the fan down everything else is good..

I love these old truck stops , some of the best meals I. Ever had , I can remember one that I would drive an extra hundred miles to get to it , and after a good meal I could have a good quite sleep , but now here in Ontario we have travel centres , Tim hortons , Burger King , McDonald’s ect , just box food , and the yard is so loud that it’s almost impossible to sleep , and make dam sure you have your door locked !! God dam I miss those days , here in Canada most truckers are new Canadians who have no idea the way things used to be , and even if they did they wouldn’t have enough smarts to appreciate it , am I a racist ? Well I guess ! But it is what it is ! If their not on their phone or in the ditch their plugging up the travel centres , like it or not !!!

How to test your fan clutch is easy if you have quick connect lines then but a union that you use to fix a broke line unconnected both lines from solenoid the use union and connect air Linux to each end on union once air builds up your fan clutch should turn off but I would not drive like this in hot weather while Ac on truck will over heat but at least you know fan clutch is still good , next you high pressure switch on Ac line should be located near radiator this switch bad will also keep your fan clutch on easy repair, but hot to test this on height pressure switch wires peel back insulation on both wires to expose wires then swish the wires together if fan shuts off now you know your Ac high pressure switch is bad , you can leave these wires twisted together to keep fan working normal to save on fuel until you buy ac high pressure switch, price EOM over 100 aftermarket less 50 bucks aftermarket works just fine stop paying EOM prices on parts when in most cases EOM made by aftermarket company they look the same
