This month may be full of what we call ‘trigger moments’ that remind us of the past holidays and rituals we had with our loved ones. Many memories are also triggered and can be overwhelming or comforting, it’s really hard to know year to year.
I’m stating the obvious to you- because you are a very smart wister (widow + sister). If this is your first holiday season, let me share that giving yourself kindness during the holidays is how you will get through it. Kindness to ourselves is a new superpower for you to activate.
Even if it’s year two or twenty two, kindness over the holidays needs a new approach. So this year, we are doing a short little Kindness Manifesto for Widows exercise. I’m not going to leave you hanging while the days roll by this December, I’m going to give you a real tool to use to get you through the days, weeks and months ahead.
