Hi everyone. In the third last question (The expression 6x^4+17x^2+7...)...in the end I added a+d (Instead of A+C) ... so the answer should be 7+3/2 = 8.5...so sorry about that (I do show in the problem all the correct steps and the value of c...but then added "d" instead of "c" 😓😓

last time your videos helped me a lot on the math section, i could get a 790. Tommorrow i am retaking it cause last time i did bad on english by scoring 540. I wish that this time i can reach to my dream score of 1500+, and i hope that your videos end up useful as the last time. Appreciate your time and effort. Thank you!

on 16:00 isnt we supposed to find how many times 5root3-5 equal to 5? in desmos i found the exact value of BP and type BP*x=5 to solve for x. It gave me nearly root3. answer b. if im wrong can you tell me where? i also appreciate for your efforts. they are the best among all youtube sat tutors.

hii mam 32:44 its option b coz if we take the ratio we get n=1960

We are comparing two similar rectangles. Rectangle A has an area of 2450 square inches and a perimeter of 490 inches. Rectangle B has an area of 9800 square inches, and we need to find its perimeter (n). For similar rectangles (important to keep in mind for SAT =) : The ratio of their areas is equal to the square of their scale factor (k squared). The ratio of their perimeters is equal to their scale factor (k). Step 1: Find the scale factor (k). Area of B divided by Area of A equals 9800 divided by 2450, which is 4. Since the area ratio equals k squared, we solve for k: k squared equals 4, so k equals 2. The scale factor k is 2. Step 2: Use k to find the perimeter of Rectangle B. The perimeter of similar rectangles scales by the factor k. Using the given perimeter of Rectangle A, which is 490 inches, we calculate: Perimeter of B equals k times Perimeter of A. Substitute the values: n equals 2 times 490, which equals 980. Hope this helps! =)

1:04:12 since this is not a right triangle, can you use trig
@epicexamprep
@epicexamprep Ай бұрын
You can use trigonometry in non-right triangles because trigonometric functions like sin and cos are defined for all angles using the unit circle, not just right triangles. The unit circle extends these functions to work for any angle, regardless of the triangle's type, by defining sin(x) as the y-coordinate and cos(x) as the x-coordinate of a point on the circle. In this problem, the trigonometric relationship cos4a=sin2b is based solely on the angles themselves, so the triangle doesn't need to be right for the equation to hold true. I hope this helps and makes sense!!! =) =) =) =)

Hello! Great question! You can definitely solve this using symmetry and similar triangles, but there’s an important detail to consider: the figure says "not drawn to scale." This means we can’t rely on how the diagram looks to assume BC=AB=20. Instead, we need to use the math to confirm the side lengths. The perpendicular BD=12 splits △ABC into two smaller right triangles, △ABD and △BCD. Both of these are similar to the large triangle △ABC because they share the same angles. Using similar triangles, we can set up the ratio: BD/AB = BC/AC. Substituting the known values: BD=12, AB=20, AC=AD+DC=16+9=25, we get: 12/20 = BC/25. Cross-multiplying gives: BC = (12 * 25) / 20 = 15. So, BC is 15, not 20. The reason it’s shorter than AB is that the base AC is split into two unequal parts, AD=16 and DC=9, which breaks any symmetry in the triangle. In short: You’re correct to think about symmetry and geometry, but the diagram isn’t to scale, so the math confirms that BC=15. Hope this helps! Also just to put a note on knowing why they are similar: The line BD is perpendicular to AC, so angle BDA and angle BDC are both 90 degrees. In triangle ABD, the angle at A (angle CAB) is the same as the angle at A in the larger triangle ABC because it’s part of both triangles. Similarly, in triangle BCD, the angle at C (angle BCA) is the same as the angle at C in the larger triangle ABC because it’s part of both triangles. This means both smaller triangles (ABD and BCD) share two angles with the larger triangle ABC. Since two angles are the same, the third angle must also match because the angles in a triangle always add up to 180 degrees. By the Angle-Angle (AA) Similarity Theorem, the triangles are similar because they share the same angles. 😊😊😊😊😊
