I really need to remind myself of this. All nighters have become so normalized, but sleep is one of the important key factors of good school performance. Unfortunately my body has been facing the consequences of sleep deprivation, im hoping that i can improve my study habits so that I can go to bed earlier!
@ElzarMann-v5c3 күн бұрын
I have not slept for more than 3 to 4 hours for the past three months and yes it is starting to take its toll on me like a few memory problems and severe back pains but I have gotten my dream result so far. I tell myself that if you work hard now you can feel successful later and get justice. By the way I get free at 9:30 PM from school and classes which have no breaks between them. Then I pull off all nighters to finish my homework and by the time I am done ✅ it is already morning and time to go to school and repeat the same cycle over and over again. Atleast the result might be worth it.

He also added that in your first 40 years you do whatever with your body and after 40 you start to see the results. And all this stuff "doesn't matter when you wake up but matters how much you're productive" so yeah night owls gotta be careful

@@mitali_negi07As long as a person is getting the usual 8 hours of sleep, it doesn't really matter when they're up for studying. The only problem arises when you have traditional working hours, which is mostly the case anyway, so it's advisable to sleep early to finish those 8 hours. I work in medical field n pull all nighters regularly. Same goes for studies. I also feel more focused in night compared to day. I do all nighters during prep days, but as a rule, I always get a 5-6 hrs sleep on the night before exam day. That makes me focused n refreshed during the exam time. What I have seen among my peers is that, there r morning & night people. Night people manage well with reduced sleep, morning people not so much. So it is better to establish a study pattern according to ur own comfort rather than following some one else blindly.

The first part might be true, but the fact is that our ancestors still slept. This video is talking about the effects of sleep deprivation, not when we should sleep.
@jaspermcjasper36723 күн бұрын
@@ouch1011 Your statement is just not accurate. This video extensively refers to the effect of not sleeping AT NIGHT: 0:42 - "... and they're heavily influenced by light". 0:53 - "As the sun sets, your eyes send signals about the dwindling light to a part of your brain ...". 3:09 - "As the sun rises ...". 4:41 - "... sleep each night". There are some places that appear to be neutral about WHEN you sleep. For instance references to "your normal bedtime", which could be any time of the day or night depending on your normal schedule. Also, at 4:48 - "Studies have shown that students who keep regular sleep hours" get better grades. It doesn't say that the "regular sleep hours" have to be at night, only that they have to be regular. So, yes, there are a FEW statement that are neutral on WHEN you sleep, but far more cautions about what happens when you don't sleep AT NIGHT.
