Lucas tells Ste he should give James another chance, and talk to him. James knocks on the door, saying he's left his keys in his other clothes and Ste tells him to go and get them. Before James leaves again, Ste tells him to wait and that Lucas thinks they should talk. James takes the opportunity to tell Ste how he felt at the moment he lashed out at Lucas, and how Mac was still impacting him, which is why he's signed up for anger management classes. He also says he's committing to putting his family first and will be there at Lucas's football match the following day. Ste is sceptical but James tells him he'll be there, and that they will be together again...
(In the January 4th episode we find out that James is moving back in that day, but that happens off screen).

Ste has no right to kick James out of his own house like that. He should have moved back to his sister's place. Lucas caused this whole mess to begin with by blackmailing and Verbally abusing James. To me James is nothing like his monster of a dad in Mac and Ste knows that. Lucas talking up for James means he knows that he's in the wrong despite James's actions. Hopefully James will get help he needs on how to handle kids like Lucas BC what he's done is very bad, could have gone to jail and his whole life destroyed.

Ste needs a lot more character development especially when his son is the adult in the freaking room. Everything Lucas just said is true. But I think with the writers are putting together is that Ste’s behavior is more in line with the rest of the LGBT community my way, the highway mindset and the overrated purity test they will eventually and with that person being alone.
