These are great and they struck an emotional chord. The first print immediately made me think of falling through space, the ghost print drifting in water and the final piece felt like passing through a fog to clear air. ❤

The iridescent white is such a good addition. I am going to buy some and try. You inspire me to try different combinations of colours which is good as I am new to the gel plate.

The first two are my favorites ❤❤. I loved every layer of the first one. They have such a positive feeling about them. The 2nd piece is so peaceful and soothing to look at. The 3rd piece-I felt needed just a small touch of black in the center right, but the textures are very nice.

What size paper do you use do you use a certain type of only like mixed media paper? Could you tell us if its a certain percentage of cotton and what size is the plate your using? (Id like to purschase your size plate eventually by saving up)..does your paper come in a pad or individual pieces? Could you describe how you made your edger for making your paper to sit in correct spot as you lay it on plate.i know its home made and i appericatehow you uocycle things id like to do the same... I know these are alot of questions but i like your mix media style as someone who wants to expand besides watercolor and arcylic paintings im inspired by your artwork and i like how your inspired by other artists and teaching us about them..as i live in extremely rural community i have no access to museums so im really grateful artists on you tube brings other historical artists to their ytube community subscribers..thank you again i also like your music..and the colors you use are lovely..

Thanks for watching Natty! I use Somerset paper, 22 in. x 30 in., I also like Strathmore 400 watercolor paper, Stonehenge paper by Legion You can buy them by the sheet, the smaller sizes are available in pad form. My registration bed was a gift from a viewer, but you can make your own with 2 pieces of molding. Please watch kzbin.info/www/bejne/garOqZWemMmomdk I published over 400 videps, I'm sure that they can answer your questions in one way or another!

Stunning prints. The only element that felt out of place was the black and white collaged pattern on the upper left of the third piece...to stark a contrast making it the focal point. My eyes could not move away from it easily and appreciate the rest of the composition. I am quickly becoming a fan of your videos and your creations. Thank you.

@@artwhisperer88 i would like to hear you comment on why you make some of the decisions you make. When it comes to "liking" particular pieces of art...mine or someone else's" i just mean that some are more successful or appealing than others for my eye. When I critique work it is not to say that something is good or bad, it is just to evaluate the various elements and how they work together as a whole. In the classes i have taught the critique process by the whole class is often the best part of the class. It gives the artist a chance to hear others appraisal, debate it, then step back and reconsider the various elements along with the overall success. After all, each artist has to make the final call. I don't believe comments...positive or negative...are meant to say that there is anything bad about your style. More like that those following your videos fine your overall style quite appealing. Keep painting and making art and making videos. They are very much appreciated. Thank you.

I liked the yellow blue print, I’m not fond of the hard edges when you use the stincel so but the white on top soften the edges. On Friday I’m going to play with my gel plates and see what comes from it.

Are you using just water to soak your brayers in after use? How do you create your workspace so you can get the paper in the same spot each time for multiple layers? Fascinating video! Thank you!

Hi, I’m find myself addicted to your addiction for gel plate printing. I especially admire your retro mid century type design and colour choices. I notice from close ups that when you add collage using mod Podge it appears to blend in nicely without excess shine, could you be so kind to advise if you mix the MP with water, if so approximately what percentage. Also, I’m in Australia and not having much luck securing Soho paints here, can you suggest a supplier. One last question, when you add extra paint to pick up the remaining ghost image do you allow it to dry first or just add the paint and roll it out, it doesn’t appear to smudge the ghost image when you do it. I greatly appreciate the sharing of your skill and knowledge. Regards Grahame

Hi Grahame, as far as art suppliers in Australia all iIcan come up is this www.amazon.com.au/s?k=acrylics&crid=2314D4ZVB0VE9&sprefix=acrylics%2Caps%2C270&ref=nb_sb_noss_1 The ratio of water to Mod podge is about 1 part water to 4 parts Mod Podge (approximately like the consistency of coffee creamer) for larger areas more water is needed. Experimentation is the key to success!

Thankyou so much for the info, I agree with your comment “ experimentation is the key to success”, I spent many years back in the 80’s teaching myself to screen print fabric meterage and all my mistakes were invaluable, my slogan is “ flaunt the imperfections”. Keep up the beautiful work.🙏🏼
