December Diary Entry #8 Christmas House Tour, Power outage, Holiday Outings

This Christmas home tour video is a little bit of this and a little bit of that! Ben and I attended a couple Holiday gatherings that we decided to share and I put together my Christmas House Tour 2022. For those watching for the first time, Sugarwood is going under renovations, so this year, decorating was at a minimum. The power outage prevented further decorating and editing.

It's funny I came across this video today,. On tour way home from our daughters , mind you its July 3rd 2023, & I was watching fireworks going off around the area we were driving. I said this Christmas I want to take time out like we use to and drive around looking at Christmas lights. 😊 Thanks Linda, I needed this. Willow is such a calm doggie and so so sweet. Christmas at your home is very warm and cozy even when there's no electric.

So lovely! We too just had a 3 day outage. No heat except the fireplace No water because we have a well. They will be here this week to hook up our whole house generator. Timing is everything. Merry Christmas Linda. By New Years you'll have reached the 50,000 Mark for sure. Way to go!

I love the way you decorated for Christmas during a home remodel. I remodeled our kitchen, dinette, half bath, laundry room, family room and basement 3 years ago. I couldn't imagine doing it during the holidays. So "Cheers to You Linda!!!" and have a Merry Christmas!! YAY to more videos!! Linda

Despite all that is going on at Sugarwood, everything you have decorated looks beautiful and so festive! My mantle (we only have one fireplace-tee hee} is similarly decorated. I love plaid ribbon too and my Christmas dishes have plaid ribbon in the design. Yay to the diaries! The snow was so beautiful. We got similar amounts of snow here in my area of Maine. We didn’t lose power but there are still thousands in Maine without power. Hopefully it will be restored by the 20 th. Your decorations are lovely. The rhinestone deer head is fabulous! Merry Christmas to you, Ben, & your family!

Considering all your construction , you have done a wonderful job decorating. We have so many large trees here in the PNW that I am way too acquainted with power outages. You had a very good attitude! I get very grumpy. We have had two big outages already this season! Your home tour was lovely!!

They might have been shorter than normal but they were packed full of beautity and elegance in spite of the kitchen rennovation which you actually made very interesting with all of your information about the construction of the house, etc. They gave me the "Linda" fix I needed to get me spreading my own Christmas cheer throughout my house.
