fantasy life on the 3ds solidified its place as my all time favorite game. there was so much freedom, so much fun and just such a great time. never once did i feel like it was any time wasted, and im so excited to play it next summer !

I'm so excited about the fashion dreamer update. They've also announced a lot of QoL will be in the update, such as zoom in lookits, the ability to save outfits, better rotation of muses, etc

Palia is fine but I burned out fast with how slow the progression is, I'd rather pay up front and know what I'm getting. After about a week or two on PC I'm completely over the tediousness

My hype is Professor Layton. Since it’s been so long that we haven’t gotten a proper Professor Layton game. So, hope they do it justice, since the passing of the Professor Master that passed away around 2012. As for any other games, I’m up to try getting my hands on some games that is popping up. You should look into Puffpals and Loftia! These are two of my most anticipated games, even though we're far away from the release. It has been announced that the games will be available for Switch, and the alpha-testing is available/going to be available this year! I figured that they are games that you would like, so I would love to hear your take on them (although idk if you've already mentioned them before).

I never got around to playing Fantasy Life, so I am happy there is a sequel to try out. I'm a big fan of farming sims, so Roots of Pacha is a definite pickup. Especially with the stone age theme. Eastward is great on its own, save for those chase segments, so I am excited for the DLC.

I am SOOO excited about the new fantasy life! I LOVED the first one on 3DS. I’m super disappointed for the release date of Professor Layton though as it’s one of my most anticipated games at the minute 😢 I love the switch in its 3ds era, long may it live! 😂

I really hope you're right about the switch 2, I really enjoy playing handheld but all my favorite games are on PC and are either not on the switch at all or they just run terribly. It needs to be more powerful! And yes I know I could get a steam deck but I really don't like the design It does not look ergonomic to my hands at all.😢

I can’t lie - I am really bummed about FL. I played a lot of Fae Farm on the free trial and I was having fun but to me it played a lot like FL but unfortunately heavily watered down. I only have one chapter left but I can’t justify paying $40 (on sale nonetheless) for the game. It would be a solid choice but for $20-$30 w/ DLC. Especially since the DLC tease wasn’t all that exciting for me. Improved NPCs but only with shop keeps? Disappointing. Stale NPCs are why ACNH wasn’t as good as previous titles for me. Now I need to find another cozy/casual game to obsess with until *summer*. I am honestly tempted to just replay FL on my 3DS.

I bought Dreamlight Valley when it was in beta and I got to create my avatar and that was it. The devs didn’t allow players to invert the x camera axis so it’s unplayable for me. So disappointing.

@@starhope97 thanks for your words of encouragement. I tried for weeks to play Red Dead Redemption 2, which also doesn’t allow x to be inverted. I’m nearly 70 and my brain just couldn’t adapt, I got so angry/frustrated with the game I developed heart palpitations, so I traded it in and never played another one that I can’t invert. 🤪

Faefarm was massively disappointing… for a £50 game it’s very meh. The price put me off and when I played it I think I was expecting more than what we got and I’m aware anyone who bought the switch version will get the DLC for free but being put off the game since the first week I’m honestly not that fussed about it. Me and my friends who were excited to play it were just really disappointed by it. Don’t recommend faefarm at the moment
