Yeah I suspect the use case here is actually advertising. Having a plot or estate on DCL selling your wares is astoundingly cheap. No rent, maintenance etc and a perpetual billboard on the primary Metaverse platform for a few tens of ks is too cheap. I've noticed that things on DCL sell. Most things on opensea are and will remain untouched, DCL showcases them. Whether NFT art galleries or protocols having their own office buildings, DCL is where all the different facets of crypto come together. Needs more development of course, and less land squatting but think real estate on DCL will be the equivalent of cryptopunks within a year.

Great story by the way. You mentioned Decentraland is the oldest meta verse. I’d like to challenge that by indicating that Second Life is actually older. Perhaps the more precise statement is DecentraLand is the oldest crypto/decentralized meta verse. A close second to Second Life would be OpenSim.
