Amazing weekend of darts. The level is so high, its just a joy to watch. Big props to all the players for giving us such entertainment and that final was so dramatic and tense. Congrats to Gezzy, hes just so clutch and can handle pressure like a Champ. Dirk played brilliantly and just fell short at the final hurdle but if he carries on playing like this, hell win multiple events in the future.

Today, no one averaged above a 100. I'm getting a bit tired of people saying how high the level is nowadays. If you look at this weekend that is simply untrue. There might be more sub-top players than there used to be, but 2017 MVG would probably run through all of these players. The games are great though, I agree: a lot of drama and also patches of brilliance.

@@Ramon-gg3bd I think he waited too long before throwing in the last leg and lost his focus. The ball was in his court with the crowd behind him and throwing first, but just too much pressure in the end I guess. Hopefully he gets better at that aspect of his game, Wright was the same for years but eventually learned how to cope in the big moments. Price is arguably the best player in high pressure situations like that.

Definitely the safe route. You miss the T20 and hit a single, you still have a two dart finish that doesn't require a trip.
