Has there ever been a better set of quarter final matches in the world matchplay? Yesterday and today the matches were just sensational. Price back to world number 1 and playing sensational today but how did De Sousa bring that level at 13-13 that was just scintillating. The funniest part is that from all 4 quarters, the match that was looking the closest was Van Duijvenbode v Noppert and that was the one that ended up 16-11 whilst the other 3 were 16-14 with remarkable comebacks by Wright and Aspinall yesterday and De Sousa today. Its just magical darts from all 8 players and i just appreciate what we have been able to witness over the past few days and may it continue tomorrow and Sunday. The semis r gonna be absolutely brilliant and i cant wait. The matchups in the entire tournament have been brilliant so far and tomorrow is gonna be the same. Noppert v Price and then Van Gerwen v Van Den Bergh, i just cant wait for it. May the best man win.

Darts is always pushing the boundaries. Having gezzy and dimi emerge has been magnificent. Dimi i think hasn't yet hit his max potential. He will get even better imo

They are averaging 100+ in 31leg matches which is unreal. This sport has so high standards right now. Its unreal, there is like 20 players that could average 100+ easily and you will be scared when they are on 170 finish.

It’s nice seeing dirk do better. He is a entertaining player. Refreshing seeing someone who wears their emotions on their sleeves learn to hold it together.He used to Choke a lot. Gets a big lead then falls apart . He’s battling a lot more and you can tell his confidence is getting where it needs to be. Just a matter of time I think until he starts to be a regular in semi finals or championship matches. Cudos sir

Best tournament I've seen in a while. And apart from a few dicks the crowd has been pretty good. So good to see a longer format than all the short ones that are on the tour. I want Price to win it but any one of the last 4 are playing well enough to do it. The quality has been next level. They keep playing like this they going to take the roof off the Ally Pally.👏👏👏

How does booing make sense if there isn't an English player in the match? They obviously only boo when a non-Englishman is playing an Englishman. Same in Germany or the Netherlands. Boo against the player that is playing your local hero.

Another typical matchplay where one of the top 5 players are going to play in the final cause we all know that with that performance Noppert cant defeat Price and with that performance Dimi cant defeat bomb form MvG. I think PDC should do something about it because it's not enjoyable anymore, the finalists nowadays: Price, Gerwen, Wright, Smith ---->top 4. This is NOT good for darts. It s true that these were great matches, but the problem is that these matches winners are all in the top.10... :/

Well there is a reason that those players are the top players in the world... they win a lot. What the hell should PDC do? "Hey guys, I know you are really good at the game, practice all the time to keep your form, earn us tons of money as our biggest draws, but we're going to have to not let you play this time. Why you ask? Well apparently some bozos online think that its boring that the best players in the world tend to win the most. Sorry fellas."

@@apocchime Well bro the unexpected answer is yes. They should give MORE opportunity for other players out the top 15. Of course i dont want to ruin your matchplay dreams because u are (probably) an MvG, Van den Berg or a Price fan. I understsand one of them is ur favourite but what i wanted to answer back is that they could do a completely different matchplay for other players or something like a youngster premier league, personally i woul enjoy it and the matchplay and other major's format can be the same if they would do these i wouldnt give shit. But for now i had enough of Wright Price MvG and others, thank you.

@@laszloberki1472 Funnily enough the only player left I have money on is Noppert at 20:1, and my favorite player is Ratajski. The big names are the big draws, the PDC isn't going to spend a bunch of money and not showcase their biggest talent. I feel like it would be kinda condescending to the players allowed to play in your event. What pro wants to be told, "Sorry mate, we don't think you're good enough to beat these guys, so we're going to host a little league tourney for you fellas." They got their tour cards, they want to be the best, they don't wanna drop down to challenge tour levels of play I'd imagine. Not to mention your tourney would have to be essentially an unranked showcase event.
